Hi,

Does anyone know if the Integrated Engineering Cold Air Intake fits the Cupra 280?

http://www.regalautosport.com/shop/Integrated-Engineering-Cold-Air-Intake-for-Golf-7R-GTI.html

http://www.vrsnorthampton.com/home/2263-integrated-engineering-cold-air-intake-for-golf-7r-gti.html

Its designed for the golf r/gti so I thought it would do but I would like to make sure before I buy one. I've emailed Regal and messaged VRS on facebook over a week ago and none of them replied to me so I thought someone on here may know.

Thanks!

I enquired about the enclosed carbon fibre ie kit, regal said that they would offer me free fitting if i went to them. He also said they havent fitted one to a leon yet but the the fitting of the bungs is slightly different between the golf r and audi s3 and that they currently have a s3 version being made.

Yes it should fit.

Better intakes out there though! Depends if your after looks or actual performance.

Thanks for the replies, I've messaged regal again so I'll see what they say.

I've done a load of research on intakes, but I'm after sound, looks and something a little different! I know the R600 seems to be the best for performance, but I'm sure I could still get some good gains with the IE intake and the racingline turbo inlet.

I was after the same, i have a apr intake at the moment and it doesnt make any noise. I decided for the price of the IE one i could get a ecs tuning one imported from america which looks alot better! Still on my list of things to buy

yeh the intake hose is a must makes a big difference.
What the carbon apr intake hose? Does it make a difference to the sound?? I got a red forge silicone hose with the intake but i dont like red and it says on the website not to use a none flexible pipe so i kept the standard

No I mean the turbo intake hose you can buy from the likes of Turbo Technics or Racingline. The OEM plastic ribbed one is quite restrictive.

If its that style you are after and you can't get an answer if that one will fit NV Motorsport have a similar intake but made by pipercross on their cupra demo car so this will fit........ http://www.nvmotorsport.com/shop/#!...With-Heat-Shield/p/58139627/category=15865133

Yeah I've seen the pipercross one, and I've seen vids of NVM's cupra sounds a beast! Tbh I just prefer the look of the IE one, and from the vids I've seen it sounds amazing! I'll probably take my cupra to NVM for a custom map eventually, I need them overrun crackle and pops!
