hi I have a 2.0 cr tdi 143,and have been experiencing engine cutting out and glow plug warning light flashing and sometimes it just hesitates but no warning light, it has been in for diagnostic and there was a stored code for intermittent injector voltage supply fault which suggests to me a break or chafed wire somewhere, they checked supply to all injectors and they were fine I have been told to drive the car until fault gets worse so it is easier to find, has anybody else experienced the same issue and know of any places where the wire might break etch have had a quick look myself but couldn't see anything obvious but it doesn't do it all the time it can go weeks without it doing it.

I had a similiar issue with mine where you could be driving along and the engine just cut out without any warning i took it in for a diagnostic and there were no faults stored so left it a couple of weeks and it did it again with no warning i turned the ignition off then back on again and it was ok my VAG specialist couldnt fathom it out so i replaced the fuel pump relay and its been right ever since

Yep had similar problem, car sounded like it was running lumpy, then cut out a couple of times but restarted finally cutting out for good and not even turning over.

It ended up being an issue with the loom pins failing somewhere, initial diagnosed by Seat as a faulty injector, which they replaced. This didn't solve the issue so they rewired the injector back to the ECU this didn't work either so classed it as a faulty ECU and would need replacing to the tune of approx £1500. As this happened a couple months after a remap I took it back to the garage where it was done explaining the issue, they sent the ECU away for testing to find there was nothing wrong with at all and was working perfectly.

A loom was ordered to use as a donor for the pins as they weren't available separately and some other part I can't remember was fitted coming to a grand total of £600 and with out the car for 5 weeks.

its really annoying as it is so intermittent and random so far since having the car back last Friday it hasn't missed a beat at all this week.

I'm glad i didn't go along the lines of having a new ECU as suggested by Seat, its kind of ruined my trust in my local dealership. That is annoying when the problem is intermittent, I was lucky or not so lucky it just died totally. I had to get towed by the AA to the dealership and then had to arrange my own recovery from the dealer to the other garage.
