I have a 2017 184 dsg. It's done nearly 3k so think it's ready to unleash some ponies. Main thing I've found online is about tuning boxes but I don't want to go that route. Especially after reading about the DTUK after care reviews and also just how these boxes work in general.

I'm based in west London but could travel if it's for someone to work on the car that is highly recommended.

So who specialise in remaps for these cars. Only know of Revo really.

Revo are fantastic I have to say, transformed my 184, absolute weapon, in gear rolling acceleration is amazing, the lift in all gears is stunning,

Drive ability isn't really affected as it's still quite smooth

Sounds good. I was pretty much thinking of using them but wanted hear from anyone who had used them first. I presume it's just a plug and play job with the map?

Yeah my car was only in for about two hours, but you can get the sps handset that means you can switch map on and off etc from the handset and install yourself :)

I have been running a dtuk box on my leon with good results most of the time my car as done over 50k now box as been on for at least 20k of that sometimes it as thrown a wobble but that was my fault for demanding a bit to much I can only speak from my personal side service from the dtuk boys as been excellent I have had remaps on cars before with good results there are all ways going to be + and - sides
to any which one you decide to have what ever you choose I am sure it will put a great smile on your face

cheers Garry

Hi gaz ive recently had the facelift 184.done 3k in her now and ive never looked back.love the car and the the engine is a real gem.its just effortless to drive.so much torque on tap and once u stick it into 3rd gear especially it just flies lol!!.like i said before i think these engines need a few miles on the clock to loosten up properly.had so many nice comments on how the car looks in general.ive even converted a couple of my mates over to seat from their golfs but not happy because they are currently waiting for cupras lol!!.the new touch screen is nice and i love the led lights.my kids love how you can change the light strips to different colours but they keep arguing over the colour lol!!

Won't remapping void the warranty?
One of the reasons I got a DTUK for mine then FR 184 DSG and went the extra hog with the pedal box and pipercross panel filter. When it came to servicing it was simple as just removing the gear and putting it back on again.
Will say the DTUK stuff is top notch. Did get a coil light flash come up with the pedal box after a couple of months. That was because I was using Sport +3. :-( dropped this to sport + 1 and everything still responsive. Ran 1+1 on the CRD+T. This made the car more responsive. DTUK claimed power went up to 240BHP and 500nm torque. Only issues I had was grip on the fronts. Too much wheel spin even on Michelin tyres.

Hi Garry. At first I wasn't happy at all but like Villa Chris said, with some miles it has begun to open up nicely. Overall it's a great car and the interior lights are a great little touch. Mine are always set to blue.

I appreciate there's people with good experiences with DTUK but just due to the shear amount of negative reviews I'd stay away. I'm pretty old skool too so like the idea of remap. Ideally a live map but I guess with technology now there's probably no point with these new cars. When do you collect your FR?

I'm selling my DTUK box if anyone wants it...

Also wanting to go down the proper remap route as well. Was looking at REVO, just because I keep seeing their name come up on this forum. Also looking at Celtic Tuning, which offer an engine warranty to match the Seat one (if the car is still under warranty). Anyone with any experience with them? Cheers!

I had no issues with my DTUK box, and that was with this being fitted for 18 months. Only issues I saw was when I added the optional pedal box and got a bit carried away with the settings. Was fine with sport +3 for a couple of months until one day driving out of the fuel station noticed the coil light flashing and has no turbo boost. Since then ran on Sport +1 and was fine after that. Must of got too greedy ;)
ive just changed cars now and I too have a CRDT and Pipercross panel filter for sale if interested :)

I'll have the pipercross filter if it's for the 2.0 tdi 184 buddy :)

Yep it's the PP1895 and I only had it for 8 months to try with the DTUK CRDT+. Personally thought it made the engine rev better. But hadn't done a rolling road etc.. to prove that.
Send me a private message and I can discuss this with you further. ;)

DTUK Box: Issues: I've made a few posts about it previous, a few posts down:

seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=433462&page=2

(Not enough posts to posts link yet sorry!)

Just a bit fed up with it to be honest. Without the box installed, absolutely no problems. So I was thinking I'd quite like to try a proper remap. I think the DTUK box with this version of the LEON seems to be a bit hit and miss. Some people have absolutely no problems, whereas others do!

What have you hard re: Celtic? Was quite tempted because of their warranty offer, but interested to know for/against.

Cheers

I have been overall satisfied with the dtuk box, a few glitches here and there, but nothing critical. However since getting a remap, the car feels much better in most situations, though it doesnt have the same type of kick in the back as with the box, when flooring it, here the remap is very linear in its accelerating curve compared.

Then theres is consumption, it took a small hit with the remap compared to the box. With remap, it is around 19.5 km/l, with box it was around 21 km/l - but dpf regen happened more frequently with the box though.

I am actually considering egr delete, as an addon to the remap, but havent decided yet.

My prime recommendation would go for a remap though, I really think this is what is best for the car.

I have been running my FR 184 with Revo stage 1 for about 18 months now and I can't fault it, although the power is only from about 184 to about 225 bhp the torque is the big gain with an extra 30% and brother does this baby go.

Many times I have reverted back to the 184 setting but it feels so so slow and soon gets change back.

Just do it
