Selection of photos from Castle Combe today. Torrential rain until lunch then beautiful afternoon.

Car held up well in standard spec I thought although the tyres and brakes could only last 5-6 hot laps. Contis are nicely worn down now ready for some PS4S

One guy turned up with a brand new gti clubsport on a trailer but went straight home before the briefing due to the rain Shame as there was nothing else really comparable to drive with.

Somewhere up north
Had a stone chip in my windscreen repaired by Autoglass. The guy did a pretty good job but as he explained it's a structural repair not a cosmetic one so it's still visible but not as bad it was.

Tried autoglym aqua-wax:

Was easy to apply and very happy with results :D

Looks good and I agree, it is easy to apply. However, the durability isn't that great, and you'll probably find you need to re-apply every 5-6 weeks to maintain some protection.

One of my favourite waxes is Collnite 845; it's a liquid wax that's very easy to apply and I find it lasts around 6 months before it needs to be re-applied again. I also like Fusso Coat 12 Months Wax; in spite of its name it's actually a sealant. I've got the 'Dark' version on my car at the moment and like Collinite 845, it's easy to apply and has good durability, although 12 months is a little optimistic, even when applied on paintwork that's been fully decontaminated and machine polished prior to application (6 months durability is probably more realistic).

I am also impressed with it. Put on a coat of autoglym HD Wax every 4 months and top up with aqua-wax every 3 to 4 weeks.

Frequently get comments on how well it shines.

Retro fitted the vertical wings. Simple plug & play for a Cupra.

Thinking of modding the factory intake, close the path to the engine and open up driver side for more air flow to air box. Also close the resonator chamber in the air box.

Then save for hybrid..

Sent using my fingers, above contents might (will) have traces of bad gramar
Need a part number or link for the vertical wings if anyone can help out.

Purchased a set of brand new OEM VW Pretoria 19" today. Im in love with those rims. So light compared to OEM Cupra paperweights. Got them for a price I couldnt resist (sub £800).

Wouldn't mind a link to this as well unless it was a one time offer.

Part No. 5F4854815041

You can find them in oemvag.es and ebay

Fitted some new wiper blades, what for dealing with the rain to come. Much better than the OEM items.
Valeo 577844 Wiper Blades, £18 delivered from Amazon.

Is that for both front blades?
Is the locking mechanism too different from stock? I don't like when they look obviously generic

Do you have a link to the guide you used for the bonnet struts? Something I would like to do on my SC...
