Something seems a bit off to me. I'm currently in a GTI with 230 and DSG. If I'm going, say, 30mph and floor it the traction control light will only come on if the roads are slippy... and even then the tyres aren't spinning madly.

Obviously it's a different story from a standing start but as long as you're not being stupid it's fine. The Leon is obviously available in FWD and 300ps output so 180 shouldn't be causing such problems

As above in a Cupra 300. Handles the power fine in the dry.

As above again, my 280 can be a big of a pig in 3rd gear when wet but totally controllable. Tyres are the key thing. My old FR 184 DSG used to spin up on the Motorway slips in 2nd.

Sounds like your car has been remapped/chipped to a high torque setting.

I have noticed this is mine, same engine and with DSG. However in eco mode funnily enough. The throttle really isn't that responsive in eco, and you put your foot down to try and get it off the line it then it shoots foward like there is a delay. I stick it in sport when i'm cruising around town and then switch to eco on the motorway.
