Just wondering but did anyone ever find a fix for turning the interior lights off when you have rear DRL activated?

Would ideally like to have rear DRL but keep interior lights off until headlights are on.

try this

STG 09, 31347, adaptation
Activation of the rear lights to (LED) daytime running lights:
Leuchte23SL HLC10 Light Function D23 - emphasis on daytime running lights set
Leuchte24SL HRA65 Light Function D24 - emphasis on daytime running lights set
Leuchte26NSL LA72 Light Function D26 - value put on daytime running
Leuchte26NSL LA72 Light Function D27 - value put on daytime running lights

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have this at the moment

STG 09, 31347, Adaption,
(9)-Leuchte23SL HLC10-Lichtfunktion D 23 auswählen – Value: „Day Running Lights“
(9)-Leuchte24SL HRA65-Lichtfunktion D 24 auswählen - Value: „Day Running Lights“

Activation inner tail lights in addition with brake lights
STG 09, 31347, Adaption,
(9)-Leuchte26NSL LA72-Lichtfunktion D 26 auswählen - Value: „Brake Lights“
(9)-Leuchte27NSL RC6-Lichtfunktion D 27 auswählen - Value: „Brake Lights“

this puts the outer lights as DRL's and the inner lights come on with the brake lights

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

and if you want smooth dimming on the outer lights when you indicate then do this

Smoothing dimming outer tail lights during turn signal is activated
STG 09, 31347, Adaption,
(6)-Leuchte23SL HLC10-Dimmwert AB 23 - 126 (Important for dimming effect!) 127
(10)-Leuchte23SL HLC10-Dimmwert CD 23 - 126 (Important for dimming effect!) 127
(12)-Leuchte23SL HLC10-Lichtfunktion E 23 – Blinken Links aktiv (Beide Phasen); Auf- und Abdimmend mit p_t_blinken_rampe ----not active
(14)-Leuchte23SL HLC10-Dimmwert EF 23 –Value: „35“ 0
(15)-Leuchte23SL HLC10-Dimmrichtung EF 23 - Value: „Min“ max
(6)-Leuchte24SL HRA65-Dimmwert AB 24 –126 (Important for dimming effect!)) 127
(10)-Leuchte24SL HRA65-Dimmwert CD 24 - 126 (Important for dimming effect!)) 127
(12)-Leuchte24SL HRA65-Lichtfunktion E 24 - Blinken Rechts aktiv (Beide Phasen); Auf- und Abdimmend mit p_t_blinken_rampe
(14)-Leuchte24SL HRA65-Dimmwert EF 24 - " Value: „35“ 0
(15)-Leuchte24SL HRA65-Dimmrichtung EF 24 – Value: „Min“ max

all of this shouldn't put the interior lights on! well it doesn't on mine

Does anybody know if its possible to change the rear LED clusters to LHD(ie reverse the sides that the fog/reverse signals are sent to) via VCDS (and replacement of the clusters). Just asking before i start chopping wires

Sound Actuator - Module 'A9' doesn't exist?

Hi all,

I'm not 100% sure I have a sound actuator installed in my 2015 Mk3 FR, but in sport mode I get more sound coming into the cab and it must be a certain frequency that gets right into the deepest darkest part of my ears - because it sounds awful at certain revs, almost like when someone scratches a chalk board with their nails.

Having read the instructions on how to turn off/down the actuator in VCDS (below), I decided to plug in...

***************************
“Select”
“A9 Structure Borne Sound”
“Adaption 10”
“Volume of structure borne noise actuator”
Enter a value %.
“Do it!”
***************************

For some reason the module "A9" doesn't exist, not even if I put it in the nav box at the bottom.

Does this mean I don't have an actuator or is there another way into it from VCDS?
Where would I find the actuator located in the car if I wanted to check once and for all?

Also - I spotted earlier on, in one of the menus (can't remember which but will check later), the following:
BYTE 12 "NOISE/SOUND ACTUATOR INSTALLED" - this is currently unticked.

I ticked it to see if it would make a difference and I got an immediate error on my MFD saying something along the lines of: "electronic engine sound off - drive carefully" and a warning triangle comes up next to the cruise symbol below which won't disappear.

Any help appreciated!!

Does anyone know if this is possible without some kind of hardware change?
(And how...)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FqPbNExFwU

I thought only the facelift had orange lines, and the pre-fl has just the normal orange LED indicators underneath?

Ta!

Those are the facelift tail lights on a pre-facelift leon, here's the How-to that he posted on the spanish forum, you may want to use google translate, but the procedure is pretty straight-forward.

https://www.clubseatleon.net/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=120537#p1938943

Anyway, if you want to go ahead with this and need any help with the translation let me know

Thanks dude; I thought it must be FL lights on pre-FL.

I definitely won't be shelling out for the newer light clusters.

Thanks for the clarification and help! Appreciate it.

Can it be done?

Okay, so this week I've done a few bits with VCDS...

One was to get the rear square DRLs to blink intermittently with the indicators/hazards.
It can be seen in this youtube video, and I used the following code:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEDrzjcV1WM

1 - Module 09 - Electronic control unit. Code (31347)
2 - Adaptation
3 - Leuchte23SL HLC10
4 - Lichtfunktion F23 - (Change value to Blinken links hellphase)
5 - Dimmwert EF23 - (Change value to 0)
6 - Dimming Direction EF23 - (Change value to Minimize)
7 - Leuchte24SL HRA65
8 - Lichtfunktion F24 - ( change value to Blinken rechts hellphase)
9 - Dimmwert EF24 - (change value to 0)
10 - Dimming Direction EF24 - (change value to Minimize)

It works a treat with that coding!

______________________________________________

I then saw this video and wanted the full rear DRLs (inner and outer) to flick when I lock/unlock the car.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iO0RXLOcMiM

I used the following code to do it, and again it works a treat...HOWEVER...

Now, the first set of coding I did has been completely overwritten (which speaks for itself when you look at which settings I've changed)

1 - Module 09 - Electronic control unit. Code (31347)
2 - Adaptation

Leuchte23SL Rear Left Outer

(12)-Leuchte23SL HLC10-Lichtfunktion E 23,Blinken links Hellphase
(13)-Leuchte23SL HLC10-Lichtfunktion F 23,nicht aktiv
(14)-Leuchte23SL HLC10-Dimmwert EF 23, 0%
(15)-Leuchte23SL HLC10-Dimming Direction EF 23,minimize
(16)-Leuchte23SL HLC10-Lichtfunktion G 23,Blinken links Dunkelphase
(17)-Leuchte23SL HLC10-Lichtfunktion H 23,nicht aktiv
(18)-Leuchte23SL HLC10-Dimmwert GH 23, 127%
(19)-Leuchte23SL HLC10-Dimming Direction GH 23,maximize

Leuchte24SL Rear Right Outer

(12)-Leuchte24SL HRA65-Lichtfunktion E 24,Blinken rechts Hellphase
(13)-Leuchte24SL HRA65-Lichtfunktion F 24,nicht aktiv
(14)-Leuchte24SL HRA65-Dimmwert EF 24, 0%
(15)-Leuchte24SL HRA65-Dimming Direction EF 24,minimize
(16)-Leuchte24SL HRA65-Lichtfunktion G 24,Blinken rechts Dunkelphase
(17)-Leuchte24SL HRA65-Lichtfunktion H 24,nicht aktiv
(18)-Leuchte24SL HRA65-Dimmwert GH 24, 127%
(19)-Leuchte24SL HRA65-Dimming Direction GH 24,maximize

Leuchte26NSL Rear Left Inner

(12)-Leuchte26NSL LA72-Lichtfunktion E 26,Blinken links Hellphase
(13)-Leuchte26NSL LA72-Lichtfunktion F 26,nicht aktiv
(14)-Leuchte26NSL LA72-Dimmwert EF 26 ,0%
(15)-Leuchte26NSL LA72-Dimming Direction EF 26,minimize
(16)-Leuchte26NSL LA72-Lichtfunktion G 26,Blinken links Dunkelphase
(17)-Leuchte26NSL LA72-Lichtfunktion H 26,nicht aktiv
(18)-Leuchte26NSL LA72-Dimmwert GH 26, 127%
(19)-Leuchte26NSL LA72-Dimming Direction GH 26,maximize

Leuchte27NSL Rear Right Inner

(12)-Leuchte27NSL RC6-Lichtfunktion E 27,Blinken rechts Hellphase
(13)-Leuchte27NSL RC6-Lichtfunktion F 27,nicht aktiv
(14)-Leuchte27NSL RC6-Dimmwert EF 27, 0%
(15)-Leuchte27NSL RC6-Dimming Direction EF 27,minimize
(16)-Leuchte27NSL RC6-Lichtfunktion G 27,Blinken rechts Dunkelphase
(17)-Leuchte27NSL RC6-Lichtfunktion H 27,nicht aktiv
(18)-Leuchte27NSL RC6-Dimmwert GH 27, 127%
(19)-Leuchte27NSL RC6-Dimming Direction GH 27,maximize

Ultimately my question is...can you have both of these settings working?
I.E. INNER and OUTER when you lock/unlock, then just OUTER when indicating/hazards?

I don't know what all the different bits mean/change in terms of A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, GH, EF etc... so I wonder if any of you have been able to do it, maybe one setting for when the ignition is off, another for when it's on?

My front DRLs flash in opposites with my hazards/indicators, but not when I lock/unlock...so surely it's possible?

Thanks!:confused::shrug::headhurt:

EDIT:
Sometimes you need to ask a silly question in order to find the answer yourself as you're asking it...

Has to be something to do with functions EF / GH.

E and F must be for indicating/hazards, G and H for lock/unlock.

I'll give it a go and report back *doh*

EDIT:
So, thinking it was to do with G and H, I removed all E and F coding (steps 12 through 15 for each light)...it made NO difference, and the lights performed exactly as they did WITH that coding. Weird!

I'll keep looking!

First modification on your above post sfmk2, step 4 is incorrect.

I tried this as printed but found that the passenger side didn't work although the drivers side did, so changed Blinken links from dunkelphase to hellphase and it worked.

Cheers dude - Now changed in the above post to hellphase.
Glad you worked it out - looks good, doesn't it? :)

Yes I like it - Noticed this mod ages ago on another forum but there was more things to change I believe it was something like 30 odd changes, so didn't bother.

Now saw your post with just the 8 changes to get what I wanted - lovely !

Thanks for the post mate.

I’m looking to find coding for my 5f fr with convenience pack.
I am trying to achieve the following, when I press unlock on key in daytime the front drl’s come on only has this been achieved?

Atm when pressing unlock in day no lights come on and in night all headlights lights up and rear.

I have coming / leaving home currently set to 20 secs atm and light switch set to auto.

Thanks

Some preemptive request for support - I have a LED bulb for the reverse light on the post for my FL car.
What is the light channel that needs to be edited to set it to LED? Or is it that you can switch to LED and it won't spit an error?

This is the most pathetic reverse light I have seen on any car on a long time - on my MK3 Octavia I had replaced both (since it has 2, has it should...) reverse bulbs with LED bulbs and it DID illuminate when reversing ;)

I agree the reverse lamp is crap! I changed my one to a canbus error free LED and it shows no errors but still wish I had two lamps as a lot of other cars have.

Hi,
Is there a possibility to code guidance lines to rear view camera? There are static lines in camera view, is it possible to add there additional lines which are moving with steering wheel (just like for example ford focus have). There are lines which are moving with steering wheel but only in car animation, not in camera view. Or is this feature which must support camera itself?
Thank you.

Answering my own question: At least for the bulb I got, no coding was needed and it is now properly bright, as it should have been from factory.

Hi guys

Has anyone managed to get the smooth dimming when you indicate? STU_M could you let me know what you mean it says ,,35"0 which value do i need to put in there? Most of those settings were already on what you said to change the value to. (Sorry if that makes no sense)

Smooth dimming of the DRL you mean?

I have. It doesn't dim 'to' the indicator, but dims back 'out'. If that makes sense.

If that coding will be of help just give me a nudge.

Does anyone know if the lock/unlock chirp is only available on specific vehicles?

I asked a Seat dealer to enable it for me via vcds and they were more than happy to do so but then they said it's not possible for my car.

My car is a March 2015 FR equipped with the 1.4EcoTSI if that makes any difference.

Hi. I have 1.4tsi FR 03/2015 and i unlock chirp via vcds. Car with alarm uses horn to chirp and car without alarm uses something like beep. Try to find coding on youtube
