When I ordered my Cupra in Feb ... I was told Leon’s were currently 12 weeks with a further 8 weeks for the Cupra

That’s what they say....
I wonder if VWFS will be able to replace mine quicker or give me an alternative. IF that’s what happens.

So my Cupra from October 17 still hasn't been ordered yet.

The dealership and VWFS are still trying to match the price from last year as it's gone up by just under £20 pcm now.

So my wait is going to be even longer

The warranty on my current lease may actually run out before I get it

Shocking how long that’s taking!! Serious poor show... they should’ve honoured their mistake
With a matching deal at the very least or even beat it ...

I know, I'm starting to think that it isn't meant to be.

It's been treated as an unprecedented case. No one is sure how to deal with it.

Still no guarantees they'll be able to match the price either at this stage.

Not sure what happens then, as without an order number they'll want my current lease back.

Have you shopped around to see if there are any other deals out there ? Leasingoptions.co.uk had some good ones a few weeks back ...

I haven't tbh, as I'm already with VWFS I thought it would be easier to stick with them - because of the lack of admin fee & in the case of any delays with delivery

In fairness they've kept to their word, about keeping me in the old lease.

I'm also one of those who have done the debatable and decided to add a fair few options to my lease so it's been difficult to find anything matching my spec.

I collected my Leon on Friday, wife drove it back and I have managed a measly three miles in it later on today due to the snow... Very impressed after three miles and love the Mediterranean blue colour - pics will follow when I have re-cleaned it and treated bodywork with Gardx I still have sitting in my garage...

Wife got her own back on me today by going and ordering an Audi A1 Sportback Sport Nav for Sept delivery - Leon's spaciousness means we don't need the Tiguan as well. She wanted something smaller for herself to pootle around in.

She did well getting the car at cost price via Sytner Affinity and saved £80 a month on what we are paying now for the Tig. The Leon is only £10 a month more than I was paying for my 1.4 Corsa E - so this time next year we will be a millionaires

Really sorry to hear about your accident Luke, but glad you weren't too seriously injured.

I had a call last week to say my replacement car (for the one that was ordered by the dealer in Nov with the wrong engine) has been built already and is on its way. The replacement was only ordered on 7 Feb, so it seems they can get cars out pretty quickly when they want to. I'm not getting too excited this time until I actually see the car and it's correct though!

Week 11 build?

I think it must have been week 10 as they called me to say it had been built on Mon 12 March (start of week 11). Unless it was built on the Monday and they were very on the ball letting me know.

Well SEAT Driverline or whatever they’re called are absolutely no help!! They reckon I never registered with them and are therefore unable to help!! Which is absolutely not correct because it was one of the first things I done when I got the car. The lady said the only way she could help is if I provided the policy number, which I believe is in my car which is over an hour away and I can’t drive .

What does the SEAT Ensurance even do!?

I’ll email the dealer and ask but I registered online when I got home. I definitely done it because I had it on my old car, I even had the little plastic key ring on my car key!

Oh dear.

I called them the day of the accident and they sent someone to collect my car. I never actually remembered registering but I got a small card sent through the post with a letter not long after my agreement. I used the number on there.

They took it to the dealership's garage and sorted me out a courtesy car from performance car hire within 24 hrs.

They said if I'd have called earlier in the day there was a possibility of same day delivery for the courtesy car.

They ensure it goes to a SEAT approved garage for repairs as part of the contract agreement.

They then chase the insurance company and provide updates to you - like a middle man.

I ordered a 1.4 eco FR ST on 11th jan and i emailed dealer yesterdsy as i hadnt heard from him and he still hasnt received a build date. When i asked how long he thinks his reply was could be months. Not too impressed as he told me roughly 12 weeks when i ordered.

They will say anything for a sale. Going by last weeks lead times, depending on what alloys u wanted you would be looking at least 24 weeks!
