Why did I wash it at night? Well because I don't have to rush because the next person is waiting!

Cleans up Lovely no bad points about this car only that I miss the 1.8t yet I probably don't miss the fule I'd put in it.

To tell you the truth I'm confused! I miss everything the 1.8t 260bhp had to offer! It was a beast but I felt like I was the only one with a tuned up car no one one to enjoy it with but I miss it and would love another!

This other cupra, The dti150 is nice, clean, no advisorys, 12months MOT! Cheap on fule I i think and it's all standard just like it's brand new with 97k on the clock. So I keep looking at the 1.8t with mods already done but dunno if a swap would be a good idea? I've not seen one I'd like to swap with yet but it would have to be fairly decent car for the swap. I'm sure I'd get 1800 for mine if I pushed for it.. But would prefer the swap. Not sure if I should tho. What do you guys think?

What's your personal opinion? I like the one I have.. But miss the 1.8t, not sure what I want because they are both decent cars and are responsible in the own rights.

Keep and modify the TDI, you can get good performance out of it and better fuel economy into the bargain

1.8t is what it is, cheap fun. If reving up to 6/7k is your thing then get one but if your worried about fuel now, then keep the TDI.
Imo get a 1.8t

It looks a solid car mate, I'd be keeping that for sure. But them I'm looking up from a 110TDi and not down from a 260 petrol. :D

It's down to personal reasons I have to consider my fuel/Insurance/Tax costs and reliability. I know where I am with mine. Still plans in the pipework for her though.

I went from a pd150 to a vectra vxr but then went back to a pd150 I loved both cars vectra had so much power and was such big car it cruises so well on the motorway but for me my biggest factor ended up being the fuel and tax all be it was a lot higher in the vectra than a 1.8t at 485 a year but I find with my modified pd150 I can enjoy it just as much if it more because I’m not having to worry about the fuel I’m using and can just enjoy the car but the vectra wasn’t without its inherent problems which also didn’t help my reluctance to drive her as much as I would want to so really it’s a hard decision to make you just kinda need to look at your options and your own personal circumstances and take it from there really each car has its own perks and with some work the 150 can be just as fun

I know a remap will see 200bhp which is a nice figure but most newer cars a almost that nowa days if your looking at sports hot hatches. Now to get more than 200bhp needs a load of money for the tdi. But so do the 1.8t if I got one standard! That's really not my aim. Loved all the boost gages, dump valve, and the engine looked alright with them big pipes lol.. Would also need a new clutch, flywheel and there not cheap for either model! I think that's the most expensive part of the upgrade to the car is it? But motorway driving is nice in this tdi.

You can't really compare what you have to "most newer cars though" mate.

Mk1 Leons look much nicer and give you things to keep you busy at weekends. :D

I love the look of the mk1 leon sister had a mk2 and I hated it if your doing clutch and flywheel I’d do smf cheaper and nothing to go wrong done it to both of mines

Hi there. I'm like Zardoz here, talking from a remaped 110 TDi and it's been here from 2000 and still drives lovely after 18 years. The Cupra R kit really gives him a proper racing look and the fuel economy and easy riding is the best. Most common fault can be DIY and i really haven't got any issues.

Got the money and want plenty of boost? Go for the 1.8 petrol. It's day & night thought.
