I have a 2004 Leon Cupra. It has a strange issue and I’ve searched but not found any similar issues.
Basically at speeds above 60mph my steering wheel wobbles/shakes, but it fades in and then fades back out. It always shakes/wobbles the same no matter if I’m doing 60 or 90 or anything in between. It does it for the amount of time I’m above 60 and seems to fade out, stop for a second and then fade in.
It’s had new wishbones, new springs, new steering rack mount and new tyres within the last 6 months. Could it be as simple as tracking or balancing?? All the work it’s had hasn’t been done to solve the problem, it was picked up around MOT time.
If anyone has any ideas or had similar any advice would be appreciated before I get the Cupra ready for a Cornwall road trip in a few months
