I used Chris Knott (a sponsor of this forum) and they were very good.

Great price - mid £200's

31 / Driveway / 15k / ST300 4Drive

Fully Comp with Wife added too.

Just tried Chris Knott and they wouldn’t touch me without “1 years experience of 300bhp”.

Managed to get a quote with Aviva for £508 which is a lot more acceptable.

I've used all sorts of companies including specialists Keith Micheals , Adrian Flux and still do for my modified T5 & Lotus 7 rep. For my yet to arrive Cupra I called sky insurance (not the tv company) and as usual for standard by hatch type insurance seem to quote very reasonable. Well worth a try!
Hi,
Were we not competitive for the Cupra?

Dan.

Thread resurrection....

If anyone is currently looking for insurance for their shiny new Cupra, I can recommend LV.

2018 Cupra 300 ST 4drive
44 yrs young + Mrs as named driver
16 yrs NCB
3 points
Car on Driveway
+ Protected NCD (this is a £30 premium)

Total £340.00 - This was by far the best quote I received, next best were AXA & Admiral (based on adding to my current Admiral Multicar policy), both circa £450.00.

I picked up my new Cupra 300 on Tuesday and used the Aviva online system to change over the car details, very easy and quick to do. To my surprise I got a £66 refund, my policy is a month old and previous car was Cupra 280.
Is the 300 in a cheaper/lower insurance group than the 280?

Think your right, I am with LV now and got a quote online last week for a Cupra 300, I noticed for the first time there is a question asking if you have Autonomous Braking (front Assist), never noticed this before (i think all 300 have it).

The quote was only £20 or so more than my current 2008 FR. :)

I made the same change and got a premium reduction (paid monthly) too - on a multicar policy - so I guess that must be the case at AVIVA :D

I too was with Aviva and my renewal came in for my Octavia Vrs and my wife’s DS3, it was £388.
I changed the renewal quote to the Cupra online ( free with Aviva ) and the quote came back as £360 so £28 cheaper.
Knowing renewals are usually more expensive I did a new quote going through TopCashback and the same cover was only £298 for both cars plus £60 cashback from TopCashback so £238 for the year for both cars, only £27 month !
They are parked on the driveway, 6000 miles pa, £150 excess, protected no claims.

If anyone is doing a quote through TopCashback or Quidco remember to clear your history in your browser or the cashback will not track or be paid. Plus complete your purchase immediately as it doesn’t work with a saved quote with most purchases.
Quidco is currently £60 cashback while TopCashback is £50 but if you message them through price match they increase the payment and pay a little extra.

Leon FR 1.4 was 450 a year, cupra only 550.

I'm also with AXA, 8 years NCB, secure carpark in North London.

was expecting a lot more than that, happy, just need to collect the car now :D

Expecting delivery of a Cupra 300 ST in June. Looks like the cheapest I am finding on comparison sites is £966. I am 33 with 6 years no claims. Insurance is mental.

I have just renewed the insurance on my Cupra 300 with Aviva. I have a multicar policy with Aviva and it cost me £480 all in for the two cars. When I had a look at the breakdown of the prices both cars cost the same £240. The bit that baffles me slightly is, how can it cost the same to insure a brand new Cupra 300 as it does to insure a twelve year old Fiat Doblo 1.4 diesel, valued at about £1000

Well i've just bought a 290 ST and did a quote before i purchased the car, £277 with AA. Thought great price, so then before the date o pick up the car i went to take it out and noticed that the quote was done under my old address, changed it as moved a few streets down and it has jumped to £500 :(
