5F Leon ST towbar cover?

Hey y'all!
Driving a 14 Leon ST and wondering why on Gods green earth does the dealers throw away the towbar cover when they assemble it from the dealership after production? Has anyone figure out a smart and GOOD LOOKING (most important) way to fit a cover or is it a lost cause?

You mean the cover for when the tow hook (50mm ball) is removed? I've got one spare from my towbar I think. I had to buy the fr one separately.

Naaaa I am taking about the cover that lets you cover the entire whole in the bumper that's been "cut out" to be able to fit the hook, u feeling me?

It clips into the hole cut out of the bumper. I'll have a look and see if the instructions have any details and check size for you to compare to your cut out.

Added some pics to the eBay. Panel measures c. 210mm x 150mm overall and distance between clips c. 187 x 120mm.

are you SURE that fits the ST model and not just the FR?
My SEAT dealership here in Umeå sounded quite suspicious if it would fit, or they just saw a FR cover and didnt realize they had one for ST aswell

That's how my rear looks when I cut out the cover for the tow bar, but it doesn't have any "hooks" or clips to put back on

It's definitely not the fr one as that was £60 bought separately. The one I have came with the st towbar kit.

I'd forgotten it was in the shed until your post. I'd get your parts guy to look it up by chassis number and see what comes up. If its cheaper buy it locally I only listed on eBay as a favour.

Well accordingly to them tit would run me about 500 SEK, which is roughly 50 Euro or something

I get that it sticks on ONE end with those extra "brackets" that sticks out, but how is it fastened on the other side? You just "click" into place or what?

AFIK any 5F9 part number is specific to ST. If the cut-out matches the moulded outline behind it should work. There are clips around the circumference, 4 on top, 2 each side and 2 lower side where there is a handle.
