Helix racing clutch and single mass flywheel rattle

I bought my 1.9 tdi fr leon the other week and there is a loud rattle that comes from the engine when at idle (stood still with engine on) however when you dip your clutch it goes silent and when you in gear and driving its silent, the only time you can hear it when driving if you are at very low revs 1000rpm and under, was curious to see if this is normal as people say it is and people say it isn’t??? Thanks

I though the single mass flywheels were supposed to be loud especially on diesels!

Have a look on YouTube and see if your car sounds similar to others might give you a little peace of mind!

SMF will always be louder than a dmf. Rattle? That's something else imo.

single mass will rattle gearbox input shaft on idle..
use dual mass and appropriate clutch kit..
