Hi folks,
I’m new here and looking for some advice, I have a 2004 LCR 225 and have been experiencing some sort of boost problem
Whenever I put my foot down I feel like the turbo is working normally and the car is pulling strong but then I hear something mid pull which sounds like pressure being released - similar to what I would hear if I had taken my foot off the gas
The car still accelerates but just not at it’s normal pace (as if the turbo isn’t being used), looked this up online and found someone with similar symptoms and he found the sound was the “waste-gate actuator failing safe”
I’m pretty inexperienced with working with cars but any advice / ideas would be appreciated as I’d like to try and sort this myself
