2.0tdi shudder when turning off

Hey guys, got a small annoyance which keeps occurring recently. It’s a hit and miss when it happens, but on my 2.0tdi it sometimes doesn’t turn off in a smooth manner and sounds quite heavy and very sudden, while other times it sounds gradual and gentle while cutting the ignition. Don’t really know where to start looking and was just wondering if anyone had any ideas. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Is yours a DSG and shudderes in P, or a manual and shudders in Neutral / in gear, when turning off the key, or are you referring to shuddering when start/stop kicks in?

Could it be the dual mas flywheel?

It’s a manual, shudders when in neutral when sitting still and turning the engine off

Car shudders when sitting in neutral, and I’ve also tried turning the engine off while having the clutch down and still happens, dunno if that would cause the dmf to still shudder, it just sounds like the engine is turning off very abruptly, but then sometimes it shuts off perfectly healthy sounding...has me confused
