HID Ballast Location

Where have people located the ballast for HIDS ?

I had mine cable tied to some of the pipework behind the covers. Hids are a mot failure from the 1st of May.

I saw ... will just take them out before MOT as everyone else suggests

Hi
I have two Cupras
One with his convertion ballast placed by battery
Other cable tied behind black plastic light cover.
Other I gave installed LED lights
Took 5 minutes to do it plug and play
Much easier to install than HID lights

Which LED lights have you gone with Paul ?

I went with LED lights H7
As simple plug and play took 5 minutes to install

I decided to stick mine under light housing and feed all the wiring inside the housing, that way I didn't have to drill a big hole in the back of the plastic cover and all looks OEM

LED's are an MOT failure as well, as far as I am aware

Hasn't stopped me fitting them, but I looks like I will have to swap them for the MOT

Not sure about main & dipped but I’ve had LED sidelights for 5+ years and never had any issues or had any mention to swap them back

Yeah, I think its dipped and mains that are the issue

All these things have been MOT failures for years lol. When has it ever been legal to put xenon headlights in a car without the appropriate projector lenses, never.
