Bit disappointed at the moment with how slow this things coming along but hopefully itll pick up pace again soon!
Got rear lights in for tinting ever so slightly, still unsure of what colour to spray the rear badge....but today I did new brake pipes right from the front to the rear.
Also part of the exhaust heat shield was rattly and rusty so I cut it down and stuck gold reflective tape on the fuel tank where the exhaust gets close to it, also wrapped bits of the brake pipes that go near the exhaust. Every little helps I suppose!

Hello again! I bet everyone thought I’d died or given up on this project. Well very nearly. Had a lot going on with family, work etc etc and storage of the car, it’s had to be kept outside and as the nights get colder and darker, it’s got harder to do anything on the car.
However, I have no got myself a rented unit with lights and heating and a roof! So I am building the car up to a rolling shell so it can be trailered to my unit. Exciting times.

For now though here’s a few pics:

I have decided to go from the hard copper pipes on the car, to where it joins the axle, I have gone to 1 long braided hose right into the caliper. So rather than COPPER>FLEXI>HARDPIPE>FLEXI INTO CALIPER, like the standard setup, it just goes from the copper pipe into the braided line right into the caliper, erasing more points of failure and looking nearer.... (excuse the cobwebs and dirt in the pics, she’s needs a clean from being sat outside)

I have also stripped the sill covers off and sanded any slight rust spots off and repainted those with hammerite rust protection, they weren’t bad anyway but looks smarter and prevention is better than the cure!

I’ve also built my steering knuckles up and bolted on the struts, and refitted them on the car along with the subframe and wishbones etc and it’s all looking beautiful, almost ready to get the wheels on and get it on a trailer.

Looking good so far bet you can’t wait till it’s done

I really cant wait to get out and drive it, still got the interior and engine to do yet though. Feels like such a long way to go but just got to keep in mind that first turn of the key:drive1:

Four Wheel Alignment - check out these guys in Tockwith

Legend cheers. Used to work in Tockwith at the Karting track for a few years and never heard of these guys, will definitely head down there for a geo when its done. I imagine the rear axle is a right pain to line up.

Hi where did you get them rear brake lines from for the rear callipers?

Theyre custom made ones from HEL. Just go on to their website and you can make your own custom lines, £25 each and you can choose colour, length, fittings and fixings. I measured them all up and the drivers side is a bit shorter than passengers side etc, took a bit of time but worth it as looks way better too
