Hello!

Just wanted to introduce myself. I purchased my 2003 LCR about two months ago and have been slowly making it "mine", but I'm trying not to modify it too much haha. When I purchased the LCR, it had just under 115xxx, but just turned over 117xxx and hasn't missed a beat at all. The car is completely standard and I'm trying to keep it that way. I have been around and modifying cars for at least 10 years now but this is my first German as I'm used to tweaking Jap cars. Since purchase, the only things that have been fitted on are drop springs, poly top mounts, full cobra cat-back and a set of wheels and tires. That's it for now other than cosmetics. I'm thinking about doing the big mouth mod (already purchased the mesh lol), but not too sure as I'm trying to keep it standard. It seems untouched Rs are getting harder to come by.

Once I get her washed up I'll be posting some photos. I'm hoping to meet other Seat owners and see where things go! (meets, photoshoots etc.) I'm from Norfolk atm!

So as for power, it seems as if these little 20v motors don't take too much to make them fun to drive. Intake, downpipe, and intercooler seems to be the go to for 260+ bhp. That's not a whole lot but enough to have some fun for sure! What are other means people are doing to try to reach the 300 mark other than changing the turbo?

Lastly, is there a sticky that shows all the vendors that make parts for the MK1?

Welcome to the SEAT family :drunk:

Love the look of the MK1 LCR, look forward to some pictures.

I'm rocking 265bhp on my MK2 Cupra R, it's most definitely fun haha

Shame you didn't make it on a few days before we have a big national meet at Donington on Sunday which maybe a bit of a drive for you but we have a few MK1's going.

As for the sticky I am unaware of one but you can use the parts sponser we have on the forum

Cheers

I probably won't be making to any meets in the near future, as I'll going to be pulling it off the road and giving it s full rebuild. I just need to find a house with a decent garage, as I don't have one atm haha.

I'm trying to figure out how to upload? Is there something I am missing?

Sounds like you need to get a readers ride going to log all your work lol sounds busy busy!

You can upload images straight to the site if you click Upload a File next to Post Reply when you type a message.

The file limit is 1mb per picture though I think...

If you want to use an external picture site you cab embed a picture using the picture icon next to the smiley face, if this fails copy the embeded code and take out the direct link inside it that ends in .jpg then use that as if it doesn't have the .jpg it tends to fail and you get the Img with a broken image icon next to it.

Hope that helps

I'm not seeing upload file pal. I only have Post Reply and More Options.

I'm going to be taking a ton of photos and I'll make a thread on the rebuild once I start :)

You may need a few more posts to get that button so it stops spammers posting to the site...

Yeah look forward to it

Cheers
