Front suspension creaking

I've had a creaking noise from the front OS suspension for a while. Finally got round to booking it in - apparently there's a TPI bulletin (TPI 2040238/1) which says to grease the lower arm bushes. Seems to have fixed it.

They also carried out a "recall" 37J7 to the DSG control units, just a software update apparently. Seems to drive a bit different now, nothing I can put my finger on yet though.

Me too. Apparently it's a software update and takes 1 hour.

Bulletin Released on 4th July with letters going out from SEAT directly unless you ask the dealer service department directly.

Booked in for August 25th

I had creaky suspension and it was corrected at service by retorquing the suspension turret bolts. It was a tpi but they wouldn't tell me what it was

I had this with my old 184 FR, I thought it was just where I used to fly over bridges and speed bumps... Poor bugger whoever purchased that car

.

Grrr, I just had mine serviced and asked them to look at the front suspension dust covers as they were making noises over slow bumps. They said the noise was normal!! Wonder if it was the same issue.

Resurrecting this thread as I've just recently bought a 64 plate 1.8 FR ST with 20k on the clock and I've noticed the same sort of noises from the rear suspension.
The dealer I bought it from is happy for me to take to a local garage to get it checked out and to pay for any work required.
Hopefully they'll sort it out as otherwise it's a very nice car

Resurrecting the thread yet again.
The rear suspension was sorted by having new shock absorbers and top mounts fitted.
However. I'm now getting creaking noises from the front end too.
Seriously getting fed up with a car that has only done 25k and is 3 1/2 years old.

Does anyone know what the greasing procedure is? What parts are greased at the dealers? Also what grease needs to be used?

I have this creaking on my front suspension, both sides and really makes me feel like its the anti-roll bar as is mostly evident when the suspension is being extended going over speed bumps or driving up a drop kerb etc.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

I don't have a MK3, but do have a front n/s creak I'm trying to get rid of. Didn't consider greasing the control arms . I'd imagine probably something like red rubber grease so it won't break down the bushes. But I'd assume popping it out of the mount and greasing round it before shoving it back in. I'd imagine they'd do that on install to make it easier.

Here are the photos I took of the grease points. Hope you can work them out. I found that the problem was solved but only temporarily. I am currently working on the theory that it's actually the handbrake adjusters in the rear wheels which creak and groan when going over bumps. Try applying the handbrake in motion on first hearing it and I think it goes. I am one of those with an autobox and so rarely apply the brake from bitter experience with seized handbrakes. Probably irrational nowadays.

Both the front and rear suspension on my Leon creak. I asked the dealer to look at it while it was in being serviced and they said they couldn't find anything. They are real pros at fobbing you off :0(
