Hi everyone,

Hopefully this is in the right place!

Unfortunately it's time to try and be sensible and I'm having to swap my LCR for a sensible diesel .......well, possibly a 2.2 ctdi Civic so slightly sensible or any other sporty ish diesel - hints and tips and experience welcome! Max cost £3000

Thinking of part ex but know that you never get good value and I'd much rather someone had her and made the best of her!

Anyone any idea what value she'd be?

Details as below :
Leon Cupra R
Gun metal grey
Carbon wrap door mirrors
Full size alloy spare wheel
20k miles average per year 84 miles daily to and from work so never let me down until battery went flat last month.
178,500 miles.
6 owners i think
Good bodywork
Good history, lots of receipts, can't find stamped service book but it must be somewhere as had it stamped last year on cambelt service.

Rattling from front over bumps - worn wishbone bushes
No rear wiper
Door seals leaking on passenger side
Intermittent misfire
Breather pipes degrading
Torn TIP venting oil vapour
Malfunctioning drivers door lock when arming alarm
No undertray as clips broke but have got it behind the shed

New battery
New front o/s spring
New TIP - Badger 5 and clips just needs putting on
New cambelt and water pump 2017
Oil changed every 6 months over last few years due to the mileage being covered
Mot due this month
New o/s oem rear brake caliper

What do you all think?

Cheers Dave

It sounds like it has all the major problems the LCRs are prone to having. Door sealsz’ locking modules, hoses, not to mention the knocking suspension.
If your brakes are partially pink and need refurbishing too, that’s more work.
How are the discs and pads?
At such high mileage I think you’d be lucky to get 1200 quid.
There are a few about for 2+ and have good levels of spec and come in pretty good o4der at around the 90/100k level.

Thanks everyone, all good info!
My guesstimate was around £1000 due to the bits and pieces that need doing as bodywork wise she's still in good nick so a good option for someone who wants a bit of a project?

How many miles? Depends on if it's worth sorting so you end up with more money! If you just wanna sell as is and the engine is good and you stick a new MOT on it you could ask for more.. Then you'd be sure to know what you need to get it sorted

You iould probably do better breaking the car tbh.
If you have the available room to break it up.
