Got the car back, filter still hasn’t been delivered, and forge stuff on back order, bloody typical.

Still had Scorpion non res cat back fitted, sounds awesome, really happy with it.
Also had map too, temps were mad hot, so affected mapping. Still made 352 bhp and 460Nm, goes well, difference beast to drive now.

That’ll do me for now haha:cheeky:

Well an update guys, the dreaded happened last Saturday morning on the way home from work, the turbo let go:cry:

But on a happier note, ordered a Littco L450 Hybrid, which should be here on Thursday and fitted ready for the weekend.

Not going to bother pushing the new turbo as I'm happy with the stage 1 power for now, just means scope for a later date when I've finished paying for it and can add the supporting mods:)

Well turbo was fitted and mapped along with forge intake elbow and Integrated Engineering intake/filter, car made pretty much same power figures as looks like the standard cat is restricting flow.

Booked in on Friday for 034 Motorsports Sports Cat and then mapped to suit:thumbup:

Don’t know what caused it to go, shaft had snapped and caused compressor wheel to explode.

Suspect another faulty is38

yeh, id have to call faulty. I dont know anything about the turbos on these but presumably as manufactures have finally realized they are beneficial, its gone the way getting them in as cheap as possible. No more indistructible Garret units.

Anyway cool car. Same color, shape and year as mine!!

Are there any MOT or MIL light issues around the sport cat? Ive heard there can be.
Look forward to hearing if its made any difference, I know cat removal is a huge benefit but no idea where a sport cat sits.

Yea, I’ve heard of a few of the turbos going on these, same with the golf r and s3’s aswell.

Was informed sports cat will be fine for MOT’s, the only reason I went for it over a decat to be honest.

Love the colour like:thumbup:

Well sports cat on, mapped to suit, made 392bhp 465Nm, intake temps causing timing to be pulled, so next on the list will be a front mount.
But that’ll be a while off cos will need to upgrade the clutch at the same time.
Happy with how it preforms so going to enjoy it now for a while. Maybe do a few styling mods next:yes::yes:

Not MOT or MIL Lights, there is some talk on some cars you have to warm the Cat up before you go into MOT but I have not had the issue.

Standerd kit looks pretty sweet! (maybe thats why they cheaped out on the turbo..!)
If it gives no mot issues Ill have to ignore i saw this or ill want one

Thats pretty good going, although I fear to much in one of these in road trim!
What about noise, any more pops and burbles with a sport cat on? The OE system does make for a rather identifies as female sound.

Noise isn’t too bad to be honest, but I had pops and bangs mapped in, so when ever lifting off and slowing down sounds like a shot gun going off:thumbup::thumbup:

In the process of pricing up front mounts haha, what’s the point of having a turbo designed for 450/460 and not running it haha:yes:
