Is there anyway to find out the engine model for certain, getting some insurance quotes for a car I'm collecting later on in the week and some are showing up as 150 and some as the 184 model.

If its a brand new car it should be a 184 if its the 2.0 diesel. Think the 150 is an older engine

Both power ratings are available on the Leon (in FR trim, at least) so it'll depend which you choose.

Not sure on the differences between the engines but there are chassis differences - the FR184 has independent rear suspension and bigger brakes.
