what did you and your mk3 leon do today

Is your current switch faulty?

As long as chrome bits are ok I’ll buy it off you

It's not faulty as such (they work), the rear window switches just rattle a bit which is annoying me when I have the music turned up. The switches on my previous Leon didn't do this but I had to buy a replacement after writing my previous car off.

As long as the replacement I'm looking at buying fits ok then your welcome to buy it off me, I'd just need to make sure the replacement does fit correctly as it's not listed as a part for the Leon. It's a Mk7 golf switch so I believe they should fit.

Left my car at home with the other half whilst I’m away in Barcelona with work.

No doubt I’ll come back to a minimum of 2 dings to the car

I'm looking at doing this too, do you have to remove the whole door card?

Also do you need new clips as I've heard they brake quite easily?

Yeah you’ve gotta take the full door card off and then unscrew the arm rest to get at it. I’ve seen vids where the clips have broke but mine went back on OK and none broke.

Brilliant thanks for the reply, I think I'll order the part & give it a go then

Was it difficult to wrap? I was planning on using Plastidip to colour my badges and lettering black but haven’t got round to doing it yet

hmmm it wasn't so bad.. but it's not 100% perfect. I am planning on getting some plasti dip and having a go with that. I had some vinyl left over from when I did my Mk2, so thought I'd give it a go.

the finish is nice and smooth and it's all covered, but the edges could have been better if I had removed the badge and wrapped around the badge as a whole.

It took me about 20 mins with a hair dryer and craft knife :) I'm planning on leaving it as it is until the nicer weather comes again in the new year, at which point i'll give the plasti dip a go.

I'll get some pictures up in a min

Undertook my first mod and had the front resonator removed on my 280st. DSG farts sound great now, whereas they were practically non-existent before.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but I have ordered one of these and it's a total different fit to the bulb in the car. The bulb in the car was a blade fit the one from ledperf was a normal bayonet fit. Was yours the same and if so how did you fit it?
My bulb was bayonet and the socket was bayonet also, it was a perfect fit. I have a pre facelift Cupra 290 with LED lights.

Looks good I’m thinking of doing the letters as well, any chance of getting a pic of the front?

I've only got one from just before I'd done the surround as it started to rain shortly after and I had to mega rush to get packed away :) :)

I'll try and grab another (probably tomorrow) and post it up.

Checked to see if I needed to change my one reverse light to LED. Nope, previous owner did that for me. Seems they did quite a bit so was obviously another fan of the subtle mods
