Anyone thinking of selling their Cupra 280?

PM me if you are.

Under 50k miles, FSH, stock with no mods.

Transmission doesn’t matter and will look at 3dr and 5dr.

I’m trading my 2015 280 DSG ST in, just under 47k. It does have mods though (Exhaust and splitter), but will be standard as of the 3rd November.

An exhaust and splitter is fine!

I’m not after the ST though I’m afraid, what are you trading in for?

Mines sat at a dealer and up for £18k. FDSH / MY16 / 21k miles. Was well looked after....Wouldn't pay 18k for it though!!

Are you sure ;) Looks great, plenty of spec, loads of boot space, faster round the ring that the 5 door and when driven you wouldn’t know it was an estate.

Getting a carbon edition :)

Sounds like a nice example mate, I’ve noticed Curpas seem to be going up for mega money and sitting for months. There’s one at 13-something with 80k miles on... I have a feeling it’ll be sat there for a while

I’m looking around the £14-15k mark, give or take!

Nice!

Yeah, I like them, loved the test drive I had with one once. I don’t really have a need for the extra space, though and I have an Evo for doing all wheel drive nonsense

The 280 and 290 estates weren’t 4WD. They have the fancy electric diff like the 3 and 5 door...

It looks nice. Something I’d have to think about!

Branded exhaust? Is it a catback or?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The exhaust is a BCS cat back exhaust with a valve insides that opens on boost.

However the exhaust is already sold to @Jamp94. So it will have his standard exhaust back on the car as of the 3rd....

Car currently gets traded in on the 4th.

I have a huntch that Cupra prices will remain strong going by the reaction to what the spec on a new model will be.

They all drop at first but tben stabilise and even increase in value just look at the mk2 K1 and stuff , any well looked after, limited edition and even stock Cupra car will hold it's money IMO

MK3 hasn't held its money as well as MK1 LCR and MK2 LC/LCR

MK3 market is a lot more saturated than the MK1 and MK2, a lot of ex lease cars coming of lease etc and the fact they have done so many models so far 280/290/300/LCR/ Carbon Edition/ 290 black/ 290 white etc etc.

I got 15k on the nose for my 2014 280 with 25k on it, the dealer then sold it for 17-18k.

They will stabilise IMO and it's still a lot of car for 15k that you sold but at the end of the day you just need to enjoy them and they are worth what there worth at point of sale.
And it might be saturated in Cupra terms but look how many you see on a day to day basis compared to Golf R's etc ....

So they lost money on it once you take VAT into consideration. You win some you lose some I suppose
