Head unit to fit the ST

Right,the next thing to find for the ST is a stereo.
You might not know but the car had one owner before me..Wiltshire police.....they obviously whipped out the stereo and put in their police unit.
I will try to get a pic of the cables/blocks that were left inside tomorrow to show what is left.
Just wondering what I can get either 2nd hand or new that will just slot in and away I go.
Not looking for anything fancy,don't know what was in there in the first place,can somebody give me a bit of help/advice

RNSE is the OEM top spec unit

But anything aftermarket will fit in, are you single or double dinn ?

Well Jay,all I can say is that it's a big gap,how the heck would I know what came out of it?,single or double unit,will the cables/blocks which are left give me,or more to the poit you an idea.....to give u a clue on how much I know about the modern day units...I last fitted a motorola radio cassette player to my mk1 Capri back in 1976wish I still had it too....just no smart alec remarks neither
