Don't know why a full dealer list hasn't been made available, you would think those that got a golden ticket would know by now as they need to decorate a corner of a showroom before their demo's arrive. I'm waiting with my fingers crossed for the finance packages are released. Come on SEAT stop keeping us waiting.

I contacted SEAT customer services with the very simple question "Will my local dealer (SEAT Darlington) be a Cupra dealer or involved in the launch event for the Cupra Ateca". This is the response...

Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding the CUPRA Ateca.

I am delighted to learn that you are considering CUPRA Ateca as an option for your next vehicle purchase. The configurator for the car isn’t available for the vehicle. All sales quotes are handled by our SEAT Dealership Network. If you contact your local Dealership, they will be happy to discuss your requirements and help to find you the perfect SEAT. They will also be able to make you aware of any current promotions which may be of interest and arrange a test drive. Contact details for your nearest SEAT Dealership can be found using the following link:

http://www.seat.co.uk/car-dealers-locator.html

The new CUPRA brand is now ready to launch its first new product, with the CUPRA Ateca available to order from 11 October.

The CUPRA Ateca is the new icon of hedonistic success for customers engaged in the pursuit of pleasure. It’s the first product from our new CUPRA brand and its top selling points – uniqueness, sophistication and performance – perfectly embody the brand’s core values:

You can order the CUPRA Ateca in 3 different colours mentioned below.

Nevada White, Midnight Black and Rhodium Grey.

Nothing like cutting and pasting random standard replies. Given the two glaring errors in the response as well you have to question SEATs commitment to the new brand (or perhaps we're supposed to contact CUPRA customer services if we knew how?)

For a car that's been available to buy for nearly a month it's bonkers that the dealers know nothing about it. It's a few weeks since I called in but suspect I will get the same answer of "sorry we don't know". Come on SEAT, sorry! Cupra, sort it out!

Why didn't you just ask SEAT Darlington?

The CUPRA specialist retailers all know who they are, so they would have just given you a very simple yes or no answer...

I don't like 'phoning people, they have no way of contacting them by modern means (e-mail, facebook etc), and I wasn't going to be in the area...

Sales Manager is Adam Rich

Took me less than 30 seconds to find that.
Yes, but that is Bristol Street Motors, not specifically the Darlington branch. Bristol Street Motors don't have a clue what is going on, but if I leave my 'phone number they can get one of the sales team to call back and harass me forever.

This is a family website so unable to truly state what I think of them after being told more porkie pies than they have in Melton Mowbray!
When I was trying to buy my Leon they told me that SEAT don't allow them to do deals (and that was after being unable to add up the cost of options correctly). Needless to say I bought elsewhere. But they're still local and I can get a test drive on roads that I know well even if I eventually buy elsewhere.

What a surprise!

After damaging my new car then blaming me for the damage, lying to SEAT CS, lying to me, I won't even blow wind in one of their showrooms...

Asked under GDPR to remove all my details and never contact me by any means ever again - they really were that bad.

Snows (Portsmouth) have put a review of their demonstrator on YouTube:
First one I've seen with right hand drive! However, there seems to be a couple of anomalies:

The 'sales executive' says that the panoramic sunroof comes as standard on that model. However, the configurator doesn't indicate this (in fact, it doesn't mention the sunroof at all at the moment).

On the configurator if you select anything other than the base model, the standard specification is updated to include the space-saver spare wheel. However, when the boot is opened in the video to show the amp and subwoofer for the Beats audio there is no sign of a spare wheel.

Looks like an almost fully loaded demo.My understanding is that the copper wheels and Brembo brakes only come with the design pack-although I thought that the wheels were 20” with this pack, not 19” as in the video. The beats audio comes with the comfort and sound pack and the pano roof is one of only a few extra options.
Good to see a uk vehicle, but adds to the confusion with possible misleading information.

The configurator says that the Design pack includes '19" Machined Copper alloy wheels with Brembo brakes'
I’ll wait till that configurator is finalised first before I believe anything!.Ive read so many different things(why no one-piece buckets seats in the uk?),I’m just going to watch and wait.
I’d be quite happy if that last video was correct and the pano is standard though!
