Side lights!

Hey, cars are not my strongest point by far - bought some side lights for my Seat Leon 1p TFSI (55plate). They came but they didn’t work, was told due to a canbus system. I ordered some canbus safe ones to which they didn’t work either and I am now told I need some resistors. The lights turn on but turn off after around 10seconds and also a warning bulb symbol is on my dash! Could anyone point me in the right direction of resistors please? I am fed up of replying to the seller due to them being very unhelpful! Thank you!

You've tried taking them out and flipping them over right?

It's just some some have polarity so need to be installed a certain way round.
Try flipping each one over, just to check.

I now always use Philips Whitevison W5W sidelight bulbs in my cars. Not as bright as LEDs granted, but don't interfere with the canbus and do provide a much whiter light over standard.
