OBD app for reading codes on mobile or laptop

Hi,
I searched for info on about an OBD app reader for the exeo without any success. Can anyone recommend the plug and extension lead and app to read the fault codes.

Most people use either Carista or obd11. Although I use torque pro.

@Tony54 it all depends on what you want from the app.

If all you want to do is read error codes then there are many many apps out there that will do that for free, all you need is the correct Dongle to go with it. I also use TorquePro but personally that's for the engine information rather than error codes (which i use OBD11 for).

If you want to customize your car settings (assuming there is coding and support for it) then you should look at Carista or OBD11.

Thanks everyone for your help , I will have a look at your suggestions and no doubt ask some more questions later
I did manage to read my Bora using OBD but that was a lot of years ago.

Thanks, I've ordered a few bits and downloaded some apps. And once I get from holiday in Spain and then a weeks painting, I will have a play. I" LL read your links thanks.
