Bonnet release cable

Had to purchase a new bonnet catch and cable but forgot where the cable goes in to the car from the latch to connect it to the leaver any help ?

Drivers side way up under the dash, never had to fit one but would think it might be easier pushing it through the grommet from the engine bay into the cat - hopefully someone will have a write-up

I know where it’s supposed to go out at the bottom for the handle but I can’t remember where in the engine bay it goes in haha

Here’s a pic of mine from engine bay but looks like you’ll need to lift up or remove the scuttle plate

Does it go inn the black rubber grommet sticking out or down the side pal?

Once it goes under the scuttle panel it goes into a black rubber grommet (the source of many a leak) adjacent to the largew electrical connector (another source of many a leak).

So I’ve managed to get the cable back into the rubber grommet but cannot seem to find it in the inside of the car ?

You might be better if you remove the lower dash trim and loosen the fuse holder - this should give a bit more room
