LED Numberplate Bulbs

Has anyone got LED numberplate bulbs (C5W 239) fitted that work with no dash errors and don’t break? If so please post a link.

I want to get some (Mk2 Leon Cupra) and have researched a lot online but it seems hit and miss and a difficult finding ones that work. I don’t want to buy the cheap ones you see on eBay which seem to have issues.

hi. got a FR but same lights on numbr plates. I tried bulbs and had error codes so fitted some complete units from ebay or amazon. About £18 but no problems for 6 months !

I've got the same problem, I found that if I pushed the numberplate light unit into it's mounting a little too hard with these "error free LEDs" then there would be a buzzing noise and they'd cut out, I believed it was the large heatsink on the back of the LED unit hitting the metal contacts in the bumper. So filed the heatsink down to allow more room, also didn't do the screws up so hard, but I still get the dash warning light.
