Im receive reply from SEAT that I can by MAPCARE(Im send them reference number 000060884 and they find option) but I must drive car to dealer that they activate them by tester...
I will go that route and save headache with retrofiting options...
Thanks for your help and provided informations.

It is the safer option and less stress. Shame Seat UK don't offer Mapcare here then you would just buy it from the start at the nominal amount. Obviously Mib2 version of it.

I have a v6 sd card already in sd slot 1.

Personally I get lost in the serial numbers but the important thing is this that you see 6P on the first two characters, if not, it's not a Mib2 Standard:

Press the “NAV” Button.

Confirm the “Setup” > “Version information” selection on the display.

Check the first text line in "Version information" with the following images:

If the first three digits are 6P0, your system version is the "Navi System - 6P0".
On the other hand, if your system has built-in hard drive, and the first three digits are not 5F0 or 6P0, your system version is the "Navi System Plus".

So why did seat tell me I'd be OK with mib2 v6 map sd card? They also mentioned v13 gb maps

Well the version 13 would be this which is a mib1.

https://www.amazon.de/Seat-Navigationsdaten-Mediensystem-Standard-Europa/dp/B07HJBR97T

We know your unit is a mib1.

There is a thread here

https://forums.seatcupra.net/index....-need-latest-map-sd-card.445871/#post-4814346

I'm wondering whether this is the latest card given we are know 2019 release of the maps on mib1 online for people with mapcare. May be SD card production isn't up to this point. Didn't find the card listed.

As been said no workaround for Mib1 SD cards although there was a guy from foreign parts on the thread once wanting these units shipped to him so he could charge for modding them. Possible you might find a company in the UK to do it but on the prices of my mib2 high you would have to keep the car for three years to make it cost effective. I didn't include the Labour cost of installing the SD card mentioned on the thread in the back of my envelope.

I see that thread fizzles out.

Unsurprised to hear you got dud guidance from SEAT customer services. I received conflicting advice from 2 dealerships as to which SD card is best for my MIB1 unit but when I emailed SEAT they wouldn't tell me which was correct part number, as apparently that's confidential info!

In the end I purchased a V13 card (5F0060884BG as Tell linked to in above post) from local dealership. The maps didn't update when I plugged it in, as expected, so have car booked in to activate data.

So you have to pay £100 + labour costs?

CKPE that's all you need to do. There is a sector on the SD card that pairs the card up with the unit. When you reformat the SD card that sector isn't touched. As long as you back up first you can always get back to where you came from. Which is 1. Then you do 2 - 4.

That's it, that's what the mib2 standard navigation people have been doing on here for a while now thanks to a couple of helpfull posters that explored the files and files system to make it possible.

Damn. Now I can't get a whole Europe map anymore, the newest I have downloaded version 1115 I can't get Italy and Austria for example when I need to have Denmark.

What format do you format the SD card with - fat32? Or just delete it?

Before this, I just updated this folder maps \ 00 \ nds \ PRODUCT and my navi could not start anymore, I put the correct card in, again and after a few restarts, it worked again with the original card.

OK, so I assume this link

https://www.navigation.com/web/WFS/.../-/GBP/ViewContent-Start?EntryID=page.leon5F0

Is the latest map update available (November 2018?), I have the digits 6PO on my radio, so i assume that is MIB2, and I downloaded the file, trouble is, it says it is 12.6GB on the website, but when it is downloaded, I get 12.4GB.

Is this correct, or am I doing something wrong?

Cheers.

Phil.

Bundle 1 ?.

With Maps.

https://webspecial.volkswagen.de/vw...ad2&navi=f7d60bb5-e4c7-4f15-a629-ed994e464a9f

You will find that's an old link unless you want old maps. The 2019 are posted several times above all the same files.

With diagram... think you need Bundle 1 for Denmark, Austria and Italy.

1000 thanks, it works !!!! :) :)

Glad to hear it works.

I think the VW link bundle 1 is the best link now the dust has settled as far as covering most of Europe as I gave above, taking say a Golf 2017, Discover Media which is the MIB2 standard / Seat defined 6P test as per their documentation. From the earlier posts and what was on the German board VW changed the contents of the files so bundle 1 is now the more appropriate one for Europe unless you live on the borders where one of the other alternative may be better.

or direct link to bundle 1 download file

You can update you map whenever you want. It is related to your sd kart. There is no relationship between the warranty and this process. This a legal process from the map supplier. We do not crack any system here.

If you do not have mapcare on your car and update data in sd card without backing it up, you will lose navigation function! So guys please do not attempt to update navigation if you do not have mapcare option on your car!
