PETROL TANK

Just collected 1l fr dsg 115 and filled tank after the red warning low fuel light came on.
But only managed to get in 37.6 ltrs.. Thought tank was 45 ltr .Or have I misunderstood something
Any ideas ?

It only takes 40 L.

MK5 (the one i had) was 45 litres, with 20 miles showing on range (already in red), I routinely could fill just over 40 litres...so 37+ litres in a 40 litre tank is about right. I now have a Volvo V40, it has a 62 litre tank!

On mk6 is 40L but you can fit more 3 or 4L more because of the fuelpipe .

Both of my SEATs light the fuel warning at around 60-70 miles to go - about 7 litres left.

If you got 37.6 litres into a 45 tank - that's about 7 litres left too.
