If you love the roads round Cartmel, get the ST up to Cumbria and try some of the Passes - Kirkstone, Hard Knott, Wrynose, Honister, Newlands and Whinlatter.

How did you do this? By glue? or double sided tape? Im try to use diffenrent double sided tapes(Also for outside use), clean plastic but do not hold it more than few months... So need permanent solution to do this...

I used doublesided tape made for this kind of jobs. But I have to agree with you, that its not holding on there quite as well as on the lacquer or painted surfaces like on the front bumper for example. So have to hold my eye on that for some time to be shure i wont loose the number plate. Another option is to use the glue made for fitting windshields, its permanent and I dont see that there comes the point for needing to remove the plate. If it comes loose im taking the glue.

As I'm probably living in the only place without snow at the moment I decided to carry out a few tasteful mods to the St 300.
New Gas bonnet struts.
Inlet manifold cover.
New black gloss boot badge.
New black gloss CUPRA badge.
Very happy with the final finish, the only tricky part was the boot trim after fitting the new badge.

I don't have anymore badges left on the rear, I debadged the flag,300 and the 4Drive ages ago.

The trick for the back plate is to first put down a strip of duck tape. Duck tape will stick to the textured surface very well and will leave a nice smooth surface to then attach your double sided tape too. The tape itself will be hidden behind the plate so no worries about it looking weird. I used 3M Velcro picture hanging strips and they have held to the car and plate for 2 years now with no issues.

I did a BSR Stage 1 remap on my 2015 ST Cupra 280 DSG during the weekend. I have their PPC3 unit and have been running their maps on my previous two cars without issues (2005 Golf MKV GTI and 2015 Fabia 1.2 TSI). Initial feelings are good and there's definitely a lot more grunt but due to the amount of snow we got during the weekend I haven't been able to do any serious pulls yet.

I know it's been discussed a lot on the forum but do you guys have any suggestions on how to maintain the DSG without mapping it for best longevity? BSR claims 359 HP and 462 Nm with their Stage 1 map. Do you think the DSG copes fine with these figures if WOT is applied only above say 3000-3500 RPM (which I tend to do anyway)?

I had mine done and got 345bhp and 506nm torque. which pulls the a train. no problems so far. I've heard they can handle a lot more than that.

Started the sound deadening project, did the rear doors today and i have to say that there are a noticeable difference already!
