help needed totally clueless!!!

can anybody help please!! i av the original radio/tape player,cd changer in cupra 2003 stuck on safe mode. i would like to install a new cd player and ditch the original not sure how tho or what i will need. any help would be great cheers guys

Hi you will need to get one off these

Then you can just put in any radio you have or get as long as it’s a single din the new radio will just plug into the oem plugs that plug into the stock radio so no extra wiring needed

One more thing to mention is that if you do change the stereo, you will lose use of the CD changer in the glovebox as there is no aftermarket adaptor to control it. It's not a big issue as you can just use a USB stick these days, but just thought i best let you know. If the radio is locked in safe mode then you don't really have much option anyway.

There's a plastic trim available to cover up the exposed edging in your glovebox once the CD changer is out too.

I have a spare original Aura tape player if you're interested....

youll need some removal keys which look something like this. you can find a video on youtube on how to remove the stereo, its easy enough
