Who has a BMS jb1 or jb4?

What map settings you running and what supporting mods do you have?

Currently running jb1 map 6 max + 5.0 and car is standard otherwise. Have a muffler delete to put on and plan on getting a new panel filter to drop in.

Cheers.
I am just wondering if 5.0 is a bit high for my little 1.8TSi.

Pretty sure it is. If you’re on the IS12 turbo then I think 4.8 is its limit for longevity. Even at that though, it’ll be a fair bit quicker than standard.

Thanks.
I think the settings i use are just right for the car.
It does move a bit quicker than standard for sure, think i may have about 220 bhp.
Got K&N Panel filter on the way and have just picked a s/s back box for a good price second hand so maybe 225 bhp after that lot with the res delete pipe already on the car.

Ran one on my 300, VWR turbo elbow, ramair intake, V power map 1 at 5.2! I ran the car on the Dyno with both map 1 and map 6 settings below, map 1 made more power with more torque lower down, perfect for dsg cars!

Eventually swapped in a JB4 board, difference is night and day, cars peaking at 23-24 psi, and with the latest update it can now run lower boost than stock through 1st to 3rd, running 1st at 13psi 2nd at 17psi and 3rd onwards 24psi, helps massively with traction!

Plus all the logging capabilities with the JB4 is a god send, well worth the extra over the JB1!

Can anyone tell me more about the JB4, been thinking of purchasing. I've read about them but just not confident on how to change the setting like boost and timing. Is this something you guys do, or you send to a mapper to do?? TIA

If you hook up the JB4 and do a WOT throttle run in Map 2 from low revs to the red line in third & 4th, send the logs to George, he'll send you back the correct map 6 settings for your car. It'll work with bolt on mods, so if you go down that route, the same again applies.

They're pretty much idiot proof.

I run JB4 on Cupra 300 ST(DSG & 4DRIVE) and with George we setup map 6 with this setting:
Boost safety 28PSI
Autoshift boost redux 100
FOL 40

1500 0
2000 2
2500 3
3000 3
3500 3.5
4000 4
4500 5
5000 5.5
5500 6
6000 7
6500 7
7000 7

I running 100RON gasoline(E5) and have next mods:
- HJS Downpipe with sport cat
- JE Design Flapped Exhaust

I don't recommend running this settings to other users because it can harm your engine/turbo if not ok for your engine... My rune fine and George said that logs are clean... It produce:
3000rpm 18PSI
3500rpm 20PSI
4000rpm 20PSI
4500rpm 21PSI
5000rpm 22PSI
5500rpm 22PSI
6000rpm 21PSI
6500rpm 19.5PSI

I have a similar boost add with a turbo back BCS powervalve, peak boost add is 6.7psi on mine, likely accommodating the 97 RON fuel we're limited to in NI. The rest of the settings match. The map 6 logs of this setup are within acceptable parameters. Goes like stink.

The customer support is really good. George replies pretty much right away with any questions. Time zone dependant.

You can leave them as they come, on map 1. No need to change anything. But map 6 allows you to tweet the boost to suit other mods you have added.

Can you change timing as well? As I read this is effected when increasing boost and can hurt engines etc
