What insurance companies are you guys running with. The hop from a 280 to a 290 adds an extra £400 to my insurance. Not sure if its due to being a lease instead of owned? Just fire some companies out you guys use and I'll run a few quotes

Thanks
Esure.. 23 year old, 2years NCB.. £450 for the year.

Hello All,

My first post, I collected my car on the 1st. It's a 2 year lease from Sytner Seat 6+23 10K £254.

This car is to replace a C220d and I still have a A4 Avant Black Edition 1.4 Stronic - talking of which, I was very worried after discovering the Seat has the same gearbox as in the Audi, as it is truly awful and dangerous from standstill in the Audi - but no, it is great in the Seat, thank god!

I had a Golf R manual up until Jan 18, so knew exactly what to expect from the Seat. My initial feelings as comparison are:
  • The fake sound is way better than the R, just a shame you can't turn it off in the individual mode like you can in the R.
  • The seat won't go low enough.
  • The interior quality is way off the Golf.,....but I don't care about that sort of thing.
  • It is a lot of power in the wet to not have 4wd - had some hairy moments, although perhaps the tyres still had sheen on them! I can imagine it will be great in summer, with the lsd though.
  • Love the adaptable suspension, proper difference between comfort and cupra.
I have had some loud bangs from the exhaust already, which is nice, I look forward to it loosening everything up after a few K of miles. My fan seems to be on after every drive, I hope I am not thrashing it too hard!

Still waiting fro BCA to arrange collection date - i did early termination on my current car, waiting a week now - each time i call they said oh be 48 hours vw havent passed the details to us yet - today i actually spoke with someone human and he chased it for me...should now be sorted in 48 hours maybe then i can arrange collection of my car in readiness for the cupra soon...loving the pics and updates keep em coming!

I rang VWFS and advised them that I was giving my 14 days notice and they put me through to BCA to arrange the inspection/collection which will be 13th March.

My new Cupra will be delivered the same day.

You were lucky ive rang every day last week always told BCA would ring me, but i decided to keep calling them glad i did now - i just got the feeling it was going to be a run around from the first phone call to VW finance

Admiral charged me £900. Cheapest I saw was £550, admiral wanted £1100 before I told them I'd already had the quote cheaper from their own website. 2019 Leon Cupra, 48yo with 50% NCD, clean license but not sure how long that will last in the Cupra :drive1: .

The car is great and just 1200 miles so used Cupra mode this morning for first time. Need to disconnect the sound actuator though as it is too loud. Had the Actuator in my last Octy vRS but at least it wasn't too loud.

Got a call yesterday from my dealer and he said that my car wont be built since they have discontinued the carbon exterior pack.

Got an offer to get a Cupra ST R instead  So now im getting a fully loaded ST R in the new colour Blackness Grey metallic (no pics yet so hope it looks good) Hype is unreal atm

Is the ST R 4drive? Manual or DSG?

It sure is. Nice to be able to have a colour other than black or white for free. I will never pay for paint on a lease car!

I dropped the ball on my current car metallic was a free option on the Ateca from the dealer and i went with nevada white which is lovely when the suns out and you can actually see the colour correctly 360 days of the year its pointless!

I have had 3 white cars in a row and my wifes last car was white they look good when all detailed, but i'm bored now need a bit of colour - ordered magnetic grey, then changed my order to mystery blue after seeing some photos on the forum - i got a bit twitchy after seeing some white cupras posted here, but i stayed strong and stuck with blue, I also saw a black cupra which i must admit made me think twice, but black and copper is a bit duracell for me....sadly its not quite JPS lotus scheme enough for me.

I test drove a 300 in desire red which i immediately disliked, but after seeing a few around it is growing on me.

I wasn't sure about blue but the car has only been parked outside work since this morning and I've already had three people say they love the colour...so seems I made a good choice.
