I had a manual 2014 Audi S3, will be the same thing... avoid! Had a replacement clutch and flywheel, needed another 20k later

It's all about driving style, at the end of the day if you like manual, buy a manual especially if it has all the options you want. You can easily upgrade clutches in these cars, yes it's an extra expense but factor that into any buy and it's fine.

Use the search function you will find a few people with low millage clutch problems

But that does not mean all cars suffer with it, just factor in you might have to pay for it or make sure the warranty covers it.

Mine worked well on stock setup for 50k miles. Then started slipping a little.
Died on stage 2. Was kevlar reinforced and now does fine on 470hp set up.
If you plan to tune it go for dsg. Manual is weak and with hardcore clutch not really comfortable.
Also dsg is a lot faster than manual.
