Hi everyone

Just looking to get a stage one map on my 180 bhp cupra thru Bhp UK. How much more responsive does it make it is it a noticeable power increase ie do you get more of a shove in the seat, I don't find it very quick in standard form , its very smooth though . Will it increase my mpg too? Claims that it goes up from 180 to 212 bhp and torque from 235nm to 300nm.

I’d only map the car if it was going on a Dyno.
Also I’d go with a VW 1.8T specialist rather than a company claiming that they can do all makes and models with mobile mapping
.
Badger5, R tec and Ben Parsons at Devil Developments would be my top 3 mappers.
Distance to them is irrelevant when you see the results achieved.
I travel nr 2 hrs each way to go to Bill @ Badger5. Worth it.
In answer to the original question,
Yes you will notice an extra 30 + horses for sure.
Massive difference. Get yourself an oversize TIP
An induction kit too if poss.
Again Badger5 make an excellent one ( TIP ) for your Cupra,
This will help when mapping.
As it will breathe much better.
Lastly map it with V power fuel.
It makes a difference.

Badger5 Custom Map + TIP,
3”Custom exhaust, FMIC, Bosh 550’s, BC Coilovers, ARB’s +loads more.

Or you could go with a generic map at 150 and have no issues.

Stage 1 remap 180 to 212bhp. I think 212 is optimistic . my 180 AUQ made 205bhp stage 1 revo .that was with 2.5 piper downpipe and Forge TIP. It did transform the car. These cars are coming up to 17 years old and i doubt it if the sales blurb on remap estimate figures has been updated in years. I went from stage 1 revo to hybrid k300 its a slippery slope.

If you're Burnley way I'd go to Awesome GTI in Irlam and get an APR map. Great maps, keeps it smooth and drivable but feels like you've got a turbo one and a half times bigger.

Just had my 180bhp cupra mapped by AMD and it feels very different. The power stays on all the way to 6500rpm and makes nice pops after letting off. The throttle response was the first thing I noticed due to the big increase in torque, felt the car just rolled a lot better with less input on the gas pedal. Complemented by a short shifter and you'll be smiling. If you have the money I'd say go for it. MPG hasn't really changed for me.

What sort of price and how long did it take?
