I’ve been looking a a certain set of speakers to upgrade the sound system with, as I don’t have seat sound, instead of retrofitting it I’m opting into buying a more upmarket set.

This set: https://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-dynaudio-esotec-system-342_p-25901.htm

And this Amp: https://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-kenwood-xh901-5_p-40858.htm

However my local car audio installer says they won’t touch it as they would have to “modify” the doors.
From what I know all I assume what they could mean is that they have to have custom spacers put in to make them fit?

Has anyone else had anything like this in the past with any other car etc?

You might be better looking for a two way replacement speaker set rather than a three way set.

The OEM speakers are only two way and installers might be willing to fit a replacement two way set.

EDIT - this sort of thing but perhaps a better quality

My only query is that buying the 2 way system is I don’t have any speakers to upgrade the rear and adding others may interrupt the rest of the 2 way system? Correct me if I’m wrong
