Hey guys tried to do a bit of rust removal filling on my ibiza this morning with some colour match paint from halfords.
My Code according to my boot is LB9A which coms up as candy white fron VW. Didnt question it as VW owns seat yadda yadda. Ive finished the job and the candy whide seems more of a cream compaired to my actual car colour. Anyone know anything baout this or have a suggestion on the actual colour of my car?

There’s Candy White, which is a pastey sort of white then there’s an Ice White which is like a bright white, probably what you should try.

Maybe car was repainted at some stage ? The colour code should be correct in the boot.

Link below to Candy White paint on @SEAT Motor Parts (forum sponsor) website state ‘Genuine touch-up pencils guarantee exact colour, in addition to the gloss and resistance that characterise the vehicle original paintwork.’ Paint code is shown as B9A, although the last for characters of the part number are LB9A. I think both these codes are correct Candy White. Often where different VAG brands use a specific paint colour (VW also have Candy White) each brand may have its own specific paint code.

Personally speaking, I find the in-cap brush in these OEM touch up pencils to be too big for accurate application of paint into stone chips and it’s possible to end up with a large, unsightly paint blob. I much prefer the touch up pencils with the nib applicator where it’s much easier to apply just the right amount of paint to fill a stone chip. However, I consider an accurate colour match more important than the pencil container and its applicator, so when I’ve used the OEM touch up pencils, I use either the end of an unfolded paper clip or a cocktail stick to accurately apply the paint.
