Dear All,

Hope everything is ok!.

I noticed last year that my car had trouble starting in warm weather. Just recently I have noticed it starting again with the good weather recently (ie difficulty starting!). I wish to raise this thread again. I have used a hand held OBDII code reader tonight ran a scan no codes.

I contacted someone I know at Seat who said valve could be 6Q0906517 Breather Valve or 030103175B Crankcase Breather Hose one way valve?.Is anyone able to confirm which it is for my car. I took a look tonight under the engine could not find it.

I attach my VIN details, and pics of the possible locations of these valve. Seat also said car needs a diagnosis at Seat to determine, could be these valves or could be electrical issue.

Any help on this would be welcomed (have posted recently about sluggish starting also, have replaced battery from BoschS3 to BoschS4 so far so good. Car not being used over the weekend so we will see what happens Monday.

Thanks

Jason

This I'm guessing is the EVAP solenoid valve which I'm sure, depending on engine type, can be reached from under th e bonnet.
I'll look on this further and try to link you to the original thread covering this, or you can use "EVAP system" in the search maybe.

Edit:- ah yes the same or usual engine type there 1.4 16V 86PS engine code BXW.

Another Edit:- dmm222 where are you!

Yet another Edit:- read this thread https://forums.seatcupra.net/index.php?threads/n80-purge-valve-location.415856/

I have the same engine and I fitted

Bosch 0 280 142 345

Which is an after market replacement for 6Q0 906 517.

Working fine since 2016... Didnt fail not even once since.
