Plus 1 on this, the standard unit is an awful looking unit. The sat nav units improve the interior no end

I have just fitted a genuine rns510, plenty of guides on here to give you hand.

As mentioned the rns 510 and 315 are far superior to the headunit in the photo

To be fair mate I just want something hassle free cus that's all I've had with headunit in this car lol. So for me, a standard one around 08 would be fine Haha. Thanks

The sat nav units are plug and play, you only need to buy a GPS antenna for £10 and you will be good to go

You will need to upgrade the canbus then to a 2008 onwards to avoid battery drain issues. These are cheap to pick up second hand off Ebay and not to difficult to fit yourself

Cant I just get a 2007 year stereo same as pic and that will work? I already have the aux lead that get plugged into the rear, I just need a newer head unit with the option?

That will work without any issues, its just that a sat nav unit wont cost much more but its features far out way thr head unit in the photo.

I had the head unit in the photo and had the factory aux.

Yeah I would like to go better, but right now I just want an aux back lol. Just paid out insurance so dont want spend out on that right now too Haha. So another headunit but 07 will work perfect yeah?

No but my aux doesn't work in the 55 one. Literally doesn't work. As there isn't the option? And 07 does have it

No idea, my information came from this forum e.g. https://forums.seatcupra.net/index.php?threads/rns315-map-update.414920/
Which makes me chuckle when I can have my pick of dozens for my Android headunit either free or something like £10 for a lifetime licence (Sygic for example)
Plus the OEM ones to my eyes look like the 1970s are going to call any moment and ask for their designs back
