Yes the ah15/a is the oversized 70mm tip the ah15 is the normal sized. So make sure you get the A at the end it will say 70mm in the description. Also you can give them a call when you want to be sure, I did 2 weeks ago super friendly guys!

Noticed recently that my rear doors don't open from the inside. I keep having to jump out and open the rear doors like some kind of chauffeur whenever friends are in the back. Anyone had a similar issue?

Dodgy door lock modules, fairly common on our cars but a pain - lots of info on how to change them on here and YouTube - they will all go at some point

TIP is on order (red one) thank you for recommending it! They even sorted me out some discount (not sure why). Just debating how up the job I am or wether I may need another set of hands and brain cells. Hoping I will notice some gains!

Glad they helped you out and you got that sorted mate! What did you end up paying after VAT and discount of how much? Cool! When you install it I look forward to seeing it! You still chasing more power?! I'm posting my build plans and parts list tonight. Maybe you'll get some good ideas from my list! I'm shooting to max out the k03s at 260hp 280tq

I look forward to seeing the build and they charged £160 for the TIP incuding VAT and postage. I am still after more power but now thinking to work on the handling side of things since the corners is where I'm losing out. Had a little race with a mk4 golf last night that was lowered and wider wheels (who knows what else). He was certainly a driver and was pulling away round the bends while I was letting off but I did have 2 other people in the car with me at the time so had to be careful. Struggled to catch him without being wreckless as it was pitch black down contry lanes. Moral of the story don't underestimate a boy racer in a golf.

What tires are you running? Get some fresh bilsteins struts, along with h&r lowering springs. Fresh race/sport brake pads and rotors, stainless steel brake lines, flush brake fluid. If you have the money get some 18x8.5 wheels along with 245 40 18 or 245 35 18 tires

I cant stress enough when it comes to the basics of handling... and going fast around a corner a huge huge part of it is tires, brakes, and of course not having blown to **** struts.

Don't beat yourself up too bad, you don't know how often he drives that road. I never lost a race or competitive driving on this 16 mile backroad I drove almost everyday. I drove a 140hp 318i which is no high performance car. Until one day I couldn't shake a 1987 porsche 911 turbo off my ass... he lived in his house on the road for the past 20 years.

6 months later I ran into him again but this time I was in my e39 m5 so I got revenge passed him on the straight and then he couldn't keep up

Moral of the story

Get to know your car, the road, tires,brakes,struts then power

Currently running pirelli's all round (£90 each) they grip nicely but when pushing it they do seem to flex and move around a bit which results in some under steer and uncertainty in the bends. Wider wheels with a lower profile tire would really help along with suspension. I'm thinking to go coilovers in the future rather than shocks and springs for the adjust ability. Heard good things about AP's which if I can find for a decent price would be my go to. In regards to brakes, just fitted new brembo discs and pads all round which are still bedding in. New fluid and hoses would a nice touch to do at some point. Wheels, tires and suspension is not looking very friendly to my wallet but will see what comes along as I have been looking!

You can do it the budget way! But as for the brakes SS lines make a HUGE difference! Not too expensive. For wheels look for some OEM cupra wheels they're 18x8 and you can do some 235/40 or 245/35. Or some other 18x8 options second hand you can find rather cheap. Unfortunately I haven't used coils on anything but an EG turbo civic and they were $1000 put on by the previous owner. With coils you cant go cheap unless you want to have terrible ride quality.

The budget way but good quality, nothing worse than buying things twice. I'll look into brake lines. I would love some LCR wheels but they don't often come up for sale without driving round the country. I have a soft spot for those older civic's, doubt many are still on the road due to being tracked and parked in a ditch on their roofs. I'm thinking £400-£500 on coils, can't quite stretch to KW's but AP's sound like a good option. Also seen v-max ones out there in my budget but unsure of quality.

The EG civic is my favorite one. So easy to make into a good like track or mountain road car. I had one in the US fully loaded Si super clean with the stock D16z6 vtech last year of production 1995 with white paint and black interior.... bought it for 3500 did a Greddy california legal turbo kit for 1000 and eventually when I parted ways I sold it for 6000. I had the for sale post up for 6 hours and the car sold immediately. I would love to buy one here just as a track toy. So cheap and easy to fix and modify and when done right they're very very quick.


I'll have to look into those coils I will also need a set on my leon. Problem is finding something to fit the 4wd system. Maybe I should be looking for S3 coils
