Exhaust tips - Cupra ST

Evening all...

I’ve got a hold of 4 carbon fibre ‘Akrapovic’ exhaust tips for my 280 ST. They’re 89mm diameter per tip.

I was wondering if anyone has done something similar? In theory it will fit in the diffuser, but looking at it I’m not sure.

In total I think it will be approx. 7 inches on each side in full... similar to the Golf R/S3 quad tips. Would it be too much?

@dmpx... had the same sort of tips on my 2017 St, had to go for the 76mm dual tips as the 89mm would not fit in the cut out of the original diffuser. I mean they would fit but you may have to trim the rear diffuser a bit.

Ah brilliant! You’ve actually really helped a lot...

Out of curiosity, what did you change your system to?

I’m undecided whether I prefer these or RS ovals tbh.

I have plans to get a Rieger Diffuser in time anyway so a little trimming wouldn’t hurt.

@dmpx... I got myself a cat back system from a German company called Friedrich Motorsports. That system with the res delete sounds amazing.

That looks spot on! Got any sound clips? I'd really like mine to sound better, already got the progressive parts res delete but it didn't make much difference tbh

@Al3xC: I do not have the proper equipment to get any decent sound clips from the exhaust, but there were 2 YouTube videos that sold it for me. I'll have a look tomorrow and post them up.
