I have seen a lot of guys on the MK3 forums talking about the fluidampr, the comment i always see is "vibrations rob horsepower and kill engines" but i have never actually understood what this kit does, they aint cheap that is for sure.
To put it simple it's a crank pulley filled with hydraulic fluid that dampens the vibrations to the crank and rotating assembly including clutch. So when you start changing weights and going high HP you need it if you dont want to rattle your fillings out.

Payday was today for me! Just had a small promotion. Monthly budget for car parts is 500-600 euros. What should I order now.

I'm thinking 80mm oversized TIP
90mm RS4 MAF
S2000 grey filter
Upgraded Diverter Valve
SAI block off plate
Front mount intercooler
Phenolic spacer

Any other ideas? Not enough this month for exhaust that's next month.

Damn shame you didn’t tell you were going for updated clutch. I’m trying to sell a 4 paddle Sachs clutch plate.
Shame mines cheaper than advertised generally and still in original wrapping and box.

As for updated diverted valve. It’s a waste of. Obey.
Stock valve is good to 400 ponies.

Badger5 Custom Map + TIP,
3”Custom exhaust, FMIC, Bosh 550’s, BC Coilovers, ARB’s +loads more.

I'm just going with the stronger Bosch 110 version that was on Volvo cars. The 110 and 114 have been tested, dissected and proven stronger than the stock Bosch 80 I think It is?

The Bosch diaphragm versions are faster than the forge piston style. So until I blow the 110 going 500hp I'll stick with Bosch.

Damn shame... is it the sprung hub or solid?

It says Cummins.................you gone over to the darkside , rotten traitor :)
It's a normal turbo...just massive.
Will probably hit full boost at 5k upwards...gonna need a strong head and bolts to get it up there. Quality of rods come into play with 7-8,000rpm built motor's.

I dont plan on keeping this turbo, if I do I would make it an Hx32 by using an Hx30 hotside with a 7cm housing. Itd be good for 500hp on pump fuel (more on corn juice) and spool 1-1.5bar around 2700-3200.

But for the record IF I kept that turbo in stock form it is a 12cm twin scroll t3 flange. With a proper setup (NA cams, proper twin scroll manifold, E85, and VVT cranked to 22 degrees) It would spool up surprisingly quick on stock displacement. 1.5 bar at 3800-4200 depending on large or small port head. People think holsets spool terribly which just isn't true there are so many variants of "Hx35s" most people that find them too laggy have big exhaust housing 14 or 16cm or aren't utilizing the twin scroll manifold properly. When holsets are specd with the correct turbine, compressor, exhaust housing, and the setup is not junkyard turbotastic 5000. Then they do a damn good job. (Speaking from experience on 2.0L and 2.5L subarus).

Also to achieve the 550hp or more goal you'd need to be around 2.5 - 3 bar, which these turbos love to do, and put that with a power band from 4k-8k and you got yourself a screaming ******* setup, this spec turbo is good for 650hp.

Regardless the plan is to flip it, it's is brand new and original hx35 with a great spec and I picked it up for 219 euros including VAT. Sell it for 500 or maybe a bit more and use that money to find the unicorn hx32 or an hy35 9cm from the USA and then .... only then would I be truly satisfied with my big turbo build.

(If I cant find the turbo of my dreams I would build it as I stated before).

You lucky dog! I'm jealous! I'm looking into a pipe bending kit so I can do my own exhaust and intercooler piping.
