Headunit upgrade

Hello,

I’m looking to upgrade the sounds and get a new head unit as part of this. How do you get the sports butting to work if you replace the head unit as on my Leon fr it is part of the headunit. Anyone changed it ? It’s on a 2014 Leon fr 3dr. Eventually I will look at adding amp, sub and new door speakers.

Because everything is integrated to the headunit its not really worth upgrading as you'll lose a lot of features.
Theres an alpine unit Alpine iLX-702LEON
But its over £800.
What is it you want from the unit, it's possible to fit a sub taking a feed from the rear speakers and depending on the MIB in the glovebox you could swap out screen for the 8inch screen to give it a new look.

Looking to wire a sub initially and get better sound out of the speakers they seem to hit one volume and not turn up.

So maybe wire an amp to the head unit for door speakers eventually aswell. I just knew if you change headunit fitting a sub was easier and speakers improved with internal amp on stereo.
