@paddy6789 was looking at this from memory you will need some extra hardware but hopefully he can confirm.
Yeah you'll need the extra sensors on the front and rear bumpers (think it's an extra 4 each side).

But you'll also need some way of putting an indication light on the wing mirror. Unfortunately the indicator on the wing mirror will most likely be on a series circuit so if you have that light up when someone is in the blind spot, all the indicators on that side of the car would also light up.

The Ateca has it, so the sensors and wiring can now all be bought as genuine parts. But the Ateca has the indication in the wing mirror glass, and it's a different shape to the Leon glass :( my idea is to buy a small LED or a cluster of 4 LEDs and have them on the bottom of the wing mirror housing. Some people have fitted an interior light to the side pillar.

Wow great detail as always guys - thanks again. Looks like it is much more complex than I had hoped. So it is actually not an option on any Leon as standard then? Seems Seat are missing a trick but it is what it is.

Has anyone got the following to work, to disable the yellow mode light.....

Module 9
Long coding
Byte 15
Activate bit 7

The light stays yellow for me. Only goes off in normal mode.
I selected module 9 and then long coding. Then scrolled along to byte 15, ticked bit 7 and then saved the change. I assume that is correct.

Yes this worked fine on my Pre Facelift car, do you have the same description for Bit7

Last obvious question (as we all do it) did you tick the green box to save the change

Then you cant use this coding, the great burgers at VW Removed all the long coding from about 2016 (on the BCM Control unit) so this code does not work for you I am afraid.

No problem, have a look in the adaptation most of the stuff that was in Long Coding got moved across but I dont pay much attention to facelift cars I am afraid.

Google Translate is your friend.

I am afraid I am sad enough that I put all the control units into Excel and did translations on my car to help find stuff quicker.

Fancy sharing it?

https://drive.google.com/open?id=194CNEWu4-ixbJWB8LOLk5wjisL8i21Vl

I will leave the file there for a week and then remove it.

Let me know if you find any errors or updates that I should add

UPDATE - Just a reminder this is for a 2014 Cupra 280 so may be different to other cars.

Other info that may help people who use Excel, check out http://obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/3204/using-excel-exported-data-tips and just to add to that post, Excel also has a translate function inside the app which is much easier to check out what stuff is.

Just seen this. Any chance you can share again? No worries if you want to keep it your own though
