Has anyone fitted a decat downpipe to the MK3 Cupra with the rest of the exhaust completely OEM?

If so how does it sound? Curious as I don't want a loud exhaust, would rather have a bit of a sleeper

Just have a resonator delete fitted mate? If you have a downpipe or decay. You’ll have to have the car mapped.

Resonator/silencer delete is the nuts for less than £100.

Zaustworx does the delete pipes, simple job.

I had a custom made resonator delete at a local exhaust specialists. They made it a wider bore to the standard set up. It sounds mega. I used to have a Golf R with a non res Milltek system. And I can honestly say, the Cupra sounds better.

I'm just thinking as I'd like to go stage 2 with the car and I know it requires a downpipe so wondered if anyone had just had that done and left the rest oem. Res deletes do sound good but obviously no performance improvement.

On which model? 3/5 door, ST? I have an ST, and the feedback seems to be the res delete isn't as good on an ST. (diff exhaust).

I asked this question before and never got an answer mate only people stating the obvious. Good luck though

It's not so much if it sounds "better" I'm wondering about droning and if it sounds like a boy racer-mobile or actually more like oem+

I suspect the majority replace downpipe and exhaust at the same time so that may be why you are not getting feedback. But hopefully I am wrong and somebody will let you know.

I fitted full exhaust and I told the garage I did not want lots of noise and oddly they suggested the Non Res version and i have to say I am very happy with that setup on my car.
