Hello

Just trying to figure out what modification is required to my head unit/glove box unit to get mirrorlink ?

Device P/N 5F0035858A
Hardware 041
Software 0425

I seen number of topics but none of them are clear what needs to be done some are talking about some chap I Spain (as card update) others about sending your kit to chap in Poland for some sort of hack ... But this may get your unit to not work properly with seat sound or changing modes on Cupra ...

Would anyone who got mirrorlink on 2014 Cupra to work let me know my options?

You cant have mirrorlink on MIB1 this unit doesnt support this function. You have to upgrade your car for MIB2

Is my unit deffo MIB1 ? I was under impression my part number is for MIB2 ...

i have same head unit in my 2013 FR and that is MIB1

VW introduced the MIB2 infotainment units in the Golf from model year (MY) 2016. Production of MY 2016 Golfs was from build week 22 in 2015 (end May / beginning of June 2015).

Assuming Seat model year changes happen around the same time, then if @Alzak’s car is a 2014 Cupra, it will definitely have an MIB1 infotainment unit.
