Camera+filter. To install in the car you will still need cable for mmi

The link doesn't exit, do you know another similar?

I will install as soon as possible, I don’t have parking sensors, if I install the camera I will see the rear view but without sound, is this true?

I am thinking about install parking sensors and rear camera at same time, thanks for your help!

;)

Can I ask a daft question...

I have the latest FR Sport with Parking Sensors - but it seems Seat have changed the factory fitting so that the "Park Pilot" screen doesn't appear when you put the car into reverse. You would get a screen with the car and then certain areas of the rear and front of the car would indicate object position, like the image attached.

So this no longer appears - all you get now is the audible beeps that increase in speed the closer you get to an object.

So my question is - IF I was to install this HD rear view camera - can it link to the screen and when you engage reverse, you get the camera appear and the markings on the screen, as well as the parking sensors beeping at the same time??

Cheers

Yes it should come up as a split screen but if you just want pDC I’ve literally just activated that about 10 minutes ago and you don’t need the camera

Hi, thank you. What do you mean pDC? And how do you activate it?

PDC display as in the parking sensor display
It can be done through OBDELEVEN or Carista (I have the beta so I don’t know if that makes a difference)
Bare in mind that if you do purchase a camera that will need to be coded through vcds/ Obdeleven

Cool, ok thank you. I've ordered a Carista and will attempt to activate the parking display through it.

If I get a camera, will Carista work to code it in? Failing that, I may just purchase a Auto Vox X1Pro all-in-one rear view mirror and dash cam. I'd need to fit the rear view camera but you don't need to code it - it just works within the rear view mirror.

Coding the park pilot screen for the rear sensors is easy, 2 min job if that! Although I did it through OBD11 so unsure of how carista works.

No you need obdeleven/ VCdS to code the rear view mirror

Carista is a simple tap the customisation pick between the options for whatever best suits you

I don't think you would if it's a totally aftermarket system?

Although TBH I'd go for a properly integrated one into the head unit! It looks great in my Xcelence Lux. Although I'm not sure a reversing camera is exactly necessary in an Ibiza!

I can't see the option in Carista app.... Where is it in the menu? Maybe I need the beta version of the app I guess?

I think it was classed under “other”
Just drop [email protected] a message saying you want to be in their beta with the type of device you have and they’ll get back to you within a day or so

@Bruno Maia ,
could you describe to how to remove the black compartment and which are the screws to open the mmi to find the blue connector?
I opened the right compartment where is the on/off button about the right airbag and i build a light in the internal radio in the glove box original place but i don't understand how to open all the glove compartment.

You don’t need to remove any screw
Just buy a Audi seat vw radio removal tool, remove the mmi, then the black plug is attached to mmi.

The camera cable runs behind the mmi and down to the foot area, don’t need to remove anything else

@Bruno Maia ,

I just to remove only the dvd/cd mmi with the right original seat/vw key??
Is possible to see a picture about this key if you have?
And where the holes to be put inside to estract the radio dvd?
This Dvd mmi is not attached inside with screws?
And is not clear if after installed this revers camera need to be coded with odb eleven!

thanks

P.s.
I would like to open here a section to codes about obdeleven i discovered several new codes...there all of you use the obdeleven?

Hi,
Yes, just open the glove box, and remove the mmi/cd, there are no screws, just slide keys in the small holes, and push the mmi off.

https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/bp04Bja0

The coding can be done in obd eleven module 5f bit 19

Please open a new thread and share your codes :)
