If you are brave, you can always go for the 'not quite premium yet' brands. Nokian PP, Fulda SC, Verdestein US, Hankook V, and Avon ZV tyres. Ok maybe they may not last as long as the premium brands, but it's also cheaper, and may last longer. I mean Bridgestone is a 'premium' tyre, but is universally disliked by Seat owners (me included). I had the ER300 Ecopia and the RE050As, now thank goodness the car I have currently came with Michelin Primacy 4s.
